It’s game on this summer as we’re bringing you free swimming across East Lothian as part of Summer of Sport 2026!

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government, via sportscotland and East Lothian Council, we’re making it easier than ever for children, young people and families to stay active, have fun and make a splash this summer.

Throughout the holidays, free swimming will be available across East Lothian for anyone aged 26 and under.

Learning to swim is a fantastic life skill - but it’s not enough on its own. Staying safe in and around water also means understanding the Water Safety Code:

✅ Know what to do in an emergency

As a charity, we're committed to keeping activities affordable for our local communities. On the day there will be free sports clothing and equipment available to take home, as well as activities delivered by local sports clubs.

For this, we're taking donations of clean, reusable sports clothing and equipment. Donations can be made at Kit Stop stations located at:

🚨REMINDER: Aubigny Sports Centre will be closed from Monday 15 June, reopening Monday 22 June.

The week long closure is required to allow for a switchboard replacement at the site. The replacement is unavoidable and we appreciate the patience of our customers, members and visitors during this time.

During the closure, you are welcome to make use of facilities within the sports centres across East Lothian:
