Midlothian Community Action

Midlothian Community Action Working towards a stronger, fairer Midlothian with a thriving third sector at its heart. Reviewing, developing and continuously improving the organisation

Our aim is to link the skills, experience and enthusiasm of local people who wish to volunteer with organisations who involve volunteers in their work. We also work with organisations to ensure that volunteers are working in a safe and supportive environment. We do this by:

Encouraging and enabling people in Midlothian to be involved in volunteering and benefit from the experience
Identifying; re

ducing and taking action to overcome barriers to volunteering
Working with organisations to raise standards to enable them to welcome, value and give guidance and support to volunteers
Measuring the value and impact of volunteering and recognising this in local and national policy development and community planning.

Over 1 billion people worldwide live with disabilities, yet digital spaces are not always designed with them in mind. Today, on Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we highlight the importance of digital inclusion, ensuring everyone can access and benefit from technology. Inclusive design helps break down barriers and creates equal opportunities for all. Accessibility isn’t an add-on; it’s essential. Let’s build a digital world that everyone can use and belong in!
