It’s Volunteers Week! At Flintshire Foodbank we have the most amazing volunteers - we couldn’t operate without you! Thank you to everyone who gives some time each week to help us in our mission to make sure there is emergency food available to anyone in Flintshire who needs it. You are all wonderful!

Volunteer Van Driver Needed.
We are looking for someone to join our van crew. We operate a rota system, so it would be a flexible Tuesday or Friday morning shift once a fortnight.
This is a physical role involving loading, unloading and lifting crates that could weigh up to 15kg.

Supporting your local food bank is most powerful when it’s purposeful.

The free BanktheFood app shows you exactly what your local food bank needs right now, meaning they get just what they need for emergency food parcels, helping reduce unnecessary storage and making stock management far more efficient.

It’s also important to always check use-by dates, as food banks can't distribute out-of-date items.

Remember, they often need non-food essentials as well as long-lasting cupboard staples and sometime foods that don’t rely on oven cooking.

We are looking for a number of volunteers to help at the following Foodbank Centres.

💚Holywell, St Peter’s Church, Wednesday 1:30-3:30
💚Flint, Age Connects, Thursday 10-12
💚Saltney, Woodwork to Wellness Centre, Friday 10-12
💚Mold, St David’s Church, Friday 12:30-2:30

There is flexibility with these roles should you not be able to commit on a weekly basis, with an opportunity to work as a relief volunteer.

You would be helping to pack parcels and give out food to those in need in our community.

Please note that the role involves lifting shopping bags.
