Our sheep & goat family had their BTV jabs a few days ago with boosters booked for 3 weeks time. This will keep them safe from Bluetongue which can affect ruminant animals. Thank you Bex from Towcester Farm Vets and to ‘the strong young ones’ Erin & James for holding them steady for their jabs. 🙏🏻☺️

We are open again on Saturday 5th September in conjunction with the Newton Longville Village Fete. Walkabout and see our rescued pigs, goats & sheep at the sanctuary. We are open from 11am-2pm with last entry at 1.30pm. Treat buckets to feed the pigs are available too. No parking at the sanctuary and please respect the neighbours and do not park on the side roads in the village. Please park at Hammond Field at the fete and walk to us. We shall look forward to seeing you.

For families in Buckinghamshire Council catchment, if you are in receipt of HAF Vouchers over the summer, we are part of the activity programme and you can use them to visit the sanctuary. You must book in using your voucher codes. Children must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old, 1 adult per family, but an opportunity to enjoy time together with your child/children. . Old man Bobby has fly strike again. Sadly he is prone to it and this is the third time in 4 years. The high temperatures increase the risk, mainly for our sheep & hens but it can affect older pigs. Bobby arrived with wrinkles 8 years ago and he has wrinkles on wrinkles today, making his skin an attractive, warm breeding ground for blowfly. He may look like an odd bumble bee but the fly cream and citronella gel are deterrents. Thank you to Team Curly for your care & vigilance & Towcester Farm Vets for additional medical treatments & being brilliant, as always 🙏🏻☺️

Our HAF and family visiting programmes are underway. Wonderful week last week and great start to this week. Team Curly are ready to welcome our visiting families. Shout out to them all for creating a wonderful place to visit, its smooth running and welcoming atmosphere. We always have at least 1x DSL on-site at all times.
