Earlier this month, Citizens Advice Milton Keynes was incredibly honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to formally open our premises in Wymbush.
During the visit, Her Royal Highness met staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations involved in supporting residents across Milton Keynes through carers support, health and wellbeing services, employability programmes, outreach work and our core advice services.
As Patron of the national Citizens Advice service, The Princess Royal was particularly interested in hearing directly from teams and volunteers about the kinds of issues people are facing locally and the work taking place every day across our organisation.
A huge thank you to everybody who helped make the day such a success - including our staff, volunteers, trustees, partners and supporters.
The visit also marked an important moment for the organisation following a major year of change and relocation. After many months of planning and hard work, it was a proud moment to see the building officially opened in such a special way.
And perhaps most importantly of all - we can probably stop calling it “the new building” now. It finally feels like home.
