Did you know that black cats are least likely to be adopted? Well, at MK Cat Rescue, we think that is bonkers as there are loads of reasons to adopt beautiful black cats!

We also have three gorgeous girls currently in our care and ready for adoption:

Summer - Female, 3 years old, affectionate, and playful with gorgeous shiny fur and the sweetest personality. Loves attention, enjoys being brushed, and is happiest curled up on a warm lap for cuddles and relaxing naps.

Jaws - female, 7 years old, sweet and affectionate who loves to get between you and whatever you’re trying to do. She likes to play but can be a little nervous while she gets used to you, and she likes fuss on her own terms.

Florence - Female, 5 years old, gentle and shy and enjoys affection on her own terms.
As she settles in, she may become a lovely lap cat, but for now she’s happiest simply being near you, demanding head and butt scratches. She has a playful side and loves chasing small toys, though she is nervous around sudden noises or movements.

Huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Big Doggie Do on Sunday. We raised an amazing £327.52 which will all go towards looking after the cats and kittens in our care. We couldn't do it without you, thank you!

We're looking for fosterers!

Did you know that MK Cat Rescue isn't a rescue shelter or a cattery? All the cats in our care stay with fosterers in their homes. They open up their homes to the cats and take them to the vets, all supported by us.

Lovely 5 year old Florence is available for adoption. Florence is a sweet black cat who is looking for a quiet home. She enjoys company including head and bum scratches! She will take some time to come out of her shell so requires a little patience in her new home.

This black beauty is affectionate and intetested in whatever you are doing. She is 7 and can take a little time to get used to you. She has lived with another cat so with gentle introduction could again.

This sweet 3 year old is available for adoption. She's a shy girl at first but with time will blossom into a quiet affectionate friend. She has lived with other cats before and we feel a calm feline friend may be quite good for her!

We had a fantastic day at Jollyes Milton Keynes - The Pet People yesterday and we were blessed with two special visitors; Queen Binky the Cat and Princess Luna the Dog!

The support from everyone who came to see us was amazing, you filled two trolleys with donations of food and litter (with a few extras). We couldn't do it without you, we are so grateful.

We're at Jollyes Westcroft today and we'd love for you to come and say hi.

We have ten adorable 4-week old kittens in our care, so if you are able to donate Felix kitten food, we'd be so grateful! Please just pop by the stall and drop it in the donation trolley.

We'll also have a selection of baby cardigans available, at around £5 each!

So, come on down and say hello and find out more about what we do. We'll be here from 9am - 3:30pm!
