We've analysed the data from our recent client survey and we're really proud of the results. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed in some way to our work, whether that is through volunteering, praying, or giving - hopefully the feedback in the pictures below shows you just what a difference you are making to families across Kent πŸ’œ

It wasn't all positive, of course (!!)- we talked through the suggestions for improvement at our staff meeting this week and will be implementing a few changes as a result, which we'll share with you in due course.

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to fill in the questionnaire- we really appreciate your input.

Another first for us at the Princess Project - last night we welcomed 4 parents to an online Babies Matter course!

Every participant had received this package of goodies in the post beforehand, which as well as the course materials included some goodies to make sure we could all have a hot drink and a snack together just like we would if we'd gathered in person.

Babies Matter is a fab course developed by our friends at which helps parents and carers build a strong attachment with their child, focussing on their understanding of their baby as well as looking after their own mental wellbeing. If you'd like to put your name down for the next online or in person course please do contact our office!

On the third day of Volunteers' Week we want to give a massive shout out to our amazing Hub team volunteers!
These wonderful people give up their time to ensure all the visitors to one of our 5 Mums' Hubs receive a friendly smile, a warm welcome, a listening ear, and a cup of tea πŸ’œ

Without their hard work we wouldn't be able to open our Hubs every week and we are so very thankful for each of them.

We do have vacancies on our Hub teams in all of our locations- Gillingham, Sheerness, Maidstone Park Wood, Tonbridge and Maidstone town centre- so if you'd like to come and join one of our friendly teams please do get in touch with us- we'd love to hear from you!

We're so excited to tell you about our new service, Totcycle Baby Club! πŸ₯³πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

This is a membership scheme for parents and carers, giving them regular access to preloved baby and toddler items for a small charge (Β£10/year or Β£1/month), plus a dedicated Facebook community to swap items and chat to other parents.

This will run alongside our existing service, Totcycle Essentials, which provides baby and toddler items free of charge to families who've been referred to us, are visiting us for the first time, or are in urgent/emergency situations.

We really hope this will open up Totcycle to families who had previously thought it wasn't for them- this is for everyone looking to keep baby items out of landfill and save a few pennies!

Link to sign up is below- do message us with any questions and please do share and spread the word!

It's feedback time.... πŸ’¬

If you've used any Princess Project services over the last 6 months we'd be so grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill out our anonymous survey so that we can find out what's working, what isn't, and share with our supporters and funders the difference we are making. It really is so useful for us so we'd really appreciate your help!

New mothers in deprived areas are more likely to be isolated, and experience financial hardship or abuse, according to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, which leads to them being twice as likely to take their own lives than those in more affluent areas.

This is exactly the inequality and injustice we work tirelessly to address at the Princess Project. We work to reduce isolation, reduce financial hardship, and help mums in abusive relationships to find support. And this saves lives.

New mothers in deprived areas are twice as likely to take their own lives after giving birth, according to new analysis.
