This long easter weekend we will be giving rides on Sunday 2:30pm until 5:00pm as usual, but also on Monday too 2:30pm until 5:00pm!

On top of that, all of our donations this weekend are going to The Royal Osteoporosis Society!

We have members who are supported by The Royal Osteoporosis Society and are keen to donate as much as we can from the rides we give on Sunday and Monday!

Just a reminder that WE WILL BE GIVING FREE RIDES TO THE PUBLIC ON BOXING DAY Friday 26th December, roughly between 11am and 3pm (we need time to clean our locomotives and put them away in daylight). As usual it will be weather permitting, at the moment it looks like it will be dry okay but a bit chilly, never fear the cold will not stop us.

No money or plastic cards required, Boxing Day we like rides to be free. When 2026 gets here we will welcome donations, but Boxing Day is our free rides day, to say thank you for supporting us in the last year. So let none of us worry about money till next year!

A free train ride is just what you need after all that festive food the day before!

Santa is likely to be driving a locomotive, it’s his play day after delivering all those presents!

We can announce that we will also be running one extra day this year! On Saturday the 1st November for Halloween! What spooky engines or sweet treats will you find?

Slightly earlier times as itll be dark, 1:30pm till 4:30pm, donations only by cash or card!

We are still giving rides on Sundays from 2-30 till 5. These finish on Sunday 26 October when we will run from a little earlier and also finish earlier as the clocks will have changed.

Just to update and thank everyone who came for rides today and yesterday. We raised just over £700 for Cancer Research UK. This is a wonderful amount and means a lot. A heartfelt thank you to all of you.

Just to confirm to you all that we are giving rides today, Bank Holiday Monday, between 2-30 and 5pm. All donations this weekend will go to Cancer Research UK. There isn’t anyone, we believe, who does not have a family member or friend who has suffered with cancer, and that goes for the members of our society too.

Please feel free to give generously to this worthy cause.

Note: making a donation at anytime is not compulsory, we just hope you feel you would like to do so.
