Could YOU perform at this year's Maidstone Christmas Lights Switch-On?
We're looking for talented local singers, dancers, musicians, choirs and performance groups to help make this year's event extra special!

🎤 How to apply:
🎥 Submit a short video showcasing your performance.
⭐ Our panel will shortlist the entries.
🎭 Shortlisted acts will then be invited to a live audition day before the final line-up is chosen.

Whether you're a solo performer or part of a group, we'd love to see what you've got!

This week it's Marconi Brass taking over the bandstand in Brenchley Gardens. Whether you stay for one song or the whole performance, it's a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

LAST SUBMISSIONS: COMPETITION CLOSES TOMORROW!⁠
We're creating an official mascot for Maidstone's Monster Mash, and we want everyone to get involved!⁠

This October half term, giant inflatable monsters will be popping up across rooftops in Maidstone Town Centre. Now it's time to add one more monster to the line-up - one designed by you!

Here's what the winning designer will receive:
- An A4 print of their animated monster
- A Monster Mash Mystery Pack
- Their design brought to life as Maidstone's official Monster Mascot for this year's event and future campaigns

Pick up a design sheet from the Creative Maidstone Hub, or download one from our website or social media. Entries must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 28th August 2026.

Spittin' Feathers are performing live in Brenchley Gardens on Sunday afternoon as part of the Brenchley Bandstand Concerts. Bring a chair, bring a picnic or just wander over and enjoy the music.

We're looking for Maidstone's friendliest monster... could you design it?

As part of Maidstone's Monster Mash, giant inflatable monsters will be appearing on rooftops across the town centre this October half term. Alongside them, we're creating an official Monster Mascot and we'd love your help!

Everyone invited to dream up their own monster design for the chance to become the face of Monster Mash, not just this year, but for future events too.

🏆 The winning entry will receive:
- An A4 print of their animated monster
- A Monster Mash Mystery Pack
- Their monster proudly showcased as Maidstone's official Monster Mascot
