Our team was proud to represent Unleash Yourself with Gladness CIC at the Maidstone Volunteering Event organised by Maidstone Borough Council

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local residents, share the work we do through the Empowering Women's Hub, and meet individuals interested in volunteering, partnership, and community impact.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, had a conversation, signed up, or simply took the time to learn more about our work.

We did it! 🎉

UYG Social Enterprise has been named Runner-Up for the Community Award in the South East at the Small Business Growth Awards 2026.

After five years of hard work, serving our community, empowering women and building something meaningful, it feels amazing to receive this recognition.

Today we celebrate 5 years of UYG 💛

From a vision in 2021 to a growing community and now a space supporting women every week… the journey has been incredible.
Yesterday we launched the Empowering Women Podcast at the Hub — and it truly showed how far we’ve come.

We’ve supported thousands of women, created safe spaces, delivered workshops and helped women rebuild confidence, explore opportunities and step into leadership.

Now we support up to 30 women each week through our Hub.
As we grow, so does the need for support.

🎙️ Podcast Launch Tomorrow — Maidstone 🚀

Tomorrow we officially launch the Empowering Women Podcast at the Empowering Women’s Hub.

This podcast has been created to bring together conversations from different sectors — including health, finance, leadership and community — to share knowledge, experiences and ideas that support women in everyday life.

The podcast will be hosted by our founder Gladness Inspires Gladness Yanquoi and produced by Jerry Yanquoi, with guest co-hosts including:
• Philippa Wall
• Councillor Dinesh Khadka

To introduce the podcast, we are hosting a small networking launch afternoon tomorrow at the Empowering Women’s Hub in Maidstone.

It will be a relaxed opportunity to connect, meet others and hear more about the vision behind the podcast.
