The amazing team at Maplewood Court Care Home are fundraising for us this year and their residents are getting involved by making some 'Made in Maplewood' goodies.

We wanted to share some more lovely photos of Peter on his wish experience. His wish was to go to a birds of prey experience as he used to run his own aviary. He got to get up close and learn lots about the birds.

As you can see, he is in his element! I'm not sure I would look so confident!

Last week we attended a brilliant charity networking event onboard the Kentish Lady. We got the chance to find out about other charities and the work that they do in the local area. ❤

It was great to chat about Wishing Hearts whilst finding out about other important services.

Since we shared our post last week so many lovely people have donated, shared or come up with ideas on how we can reach our target so we wanted to share an exciting update. ✨

Our pot stands at £7,193.53 which means we have £2,806 in order to reach £10,000. Once we reach £10,000 we can start getting the ball rolling in opening our community hub for elderly people in Maidstone.

Please consider sharing with your friends & family, hosting a fundraiser or just keeping up to date with the project... any help is good help!

We will be taking part in the Barming & Fant Yard Sale Trail this Sunday to raise some pennies for our Community Hub project. Come and pay us a visit if you fancy getting some bargains, we'll be on Maryland Drive.

I wanted to come on and do a big shoutout to this lovely man, George. I met him through my job at Lulworth House Nellsar. He has always been incredibly supportive of Wishing Hearts but yesterday he dropped of a £500 donation towards the community hub fundraiser.

This puts our current target to £2,993... we're in the 2s!!!!

He probably doesn't even know we have this sneaky picture of him and won't want any recognition but can we all tell George how amazing he is please!? ❤

The sun was shining at our coffee morning yesterday. We had a group of 9 today and we sat drinking coffee, eating biscuits and chatting.

We meet every other Tuesday at Blackthorn Charity from 10AM - 12PM. The next session will be the 26th of May.

Anyone is welcome. Whether you'd like to come along to attend the sessions or find out more about the work we do - come along and enjoy a delicious cake and coffee from the cafe.
