One week until the Gibberd Garden beer festival. Do bring your current CAMRA card to get a discount on beer and cider at the CAMRA bar.

We have secured some excellent ciders from Brick Lock Orchards, a local cider maker based in Roydon. The ciders we have from them are:

Chelmer Disco, a dry cider at 4.5%
Lock Keeper, a dry at 7.4%
Higgledy, a medium dry at 5.3%
Oakey Dokey, a medium dry at 5.3%
Pheasant a medium dry at 6.6%

We also have sweet ciders from other suppliers on order, as we know these are popular with drinkers.

Four weeks until the start of the Gibberd Garden Beer Festival.

By the end of this weekend we should have the cider pretty well sorted for the CAMRA bar at this festival.

Our Cider Rep, Janet, has been at the Cambridge Beer Festival this week where she was judging the best cider of the festival as part of a 12 person panel. Then this weekend she if off to Brick Lock Orchards at Roydon to taste their new ciders and order some for the Gibberd bar.

It is a tough life being Cider Rep, but Janet does it so we can provide a good selection of ciders and perries, hopefully finding something for everyone to enjoy
