Today marked the penultimate day of our Multi-Agency Summer School Programme before tomorrow's Presentation and Celebration Ceremony! 🎉

Our amazing young people and dedicated volunteers enjoyed an action-packed day at Thorpe Park, creating unforgettable memories while celebrating another successful summer together.

A visit to a theme park is much more than just fun. It helps young people build confidence by trying new experiences, develop resilience as they overcome fears, strengthen friendships through teamwork and shared adventures, improve communication skills, and enjoy positive physical activity that supports their overall health and wellbeing. Most importantly, it rewards their commitment and participation throughout the programme with a day of laughter, excitement, and lifelong memories.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, staff and partner organisations for making this incredible summer possible. We can't wait to celebrate everyone's achievements at tomorrow's presentation ceremony! 🏆👏

Over 300 children and young people taking part in our Multi-Agency Summer School Project. Today some of the young people enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Whipsnade Zoo. The visit gave them the opportunity to learn about wildlife, conservation, and the natural environment while creating lasting memories with friends.

Every day throughout the summer, more than 300 children and young people are taking part in a wide range of positive, engaging, social, educational, and recreational activities. These opportunities provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment during the school holidays, helping to keep young people active, build confidence, develop new skills, and make new friendships.

As part of the project, all children and young people eligible for Free School Meals are provided with a fresh, healthy, and nutritious lunch, together with fresh fruit every day. During the school holidays, many families face increased financial pressures due to the rising cost of living, and for some children this may be the only nutritious meal they receive that day.

By ensuring every eligible child has access to healthy food, the project helps reduce holiday hunger, supports their health and wellbeing, and enables them to fully participate in all activities.

By providing meaningful activities, educational experiences, and nutritious meals, the project offers a positive alternative to hanging around on the streets, helping to reduce the risk of involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour while promoting healthier lifestyles and stronger, safer communities.

This fantastic multi-agency partnership continues to demonstrate what can be achieved when organisations work together to invest in the wellbeing and future of our children and young people.

🎨✨ Creativity in Action at Our Multi-Agency Summer School! ✨🎨

Our multi-agency Summer School continues to provide exciting opportunities for children and young people to learn, create and have fun during the school holidays.

This week, participants took part in an engaging Creative Arts and Crafts Workshop, where they explored their imagination, developed new artistic skills, and expressed themselves through a variety of hands-on activities. From colourful artwork to creative designs, it was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, confidence and talent on display.

Creative activities play an important role in supporting children's emotional wellbeing, improving concentration, building self-confidence, and encouraging communication and teamwork. They also provide a safe and enjoyable environment where young people can make new friends and develop lifelong skills.

We are proud to be working in partnership to provide free, high-quality activities that help children and young people stay active, inspired and engaged throughout the summer holidays.

A huge thank you to all our partners, volunteers and supporters who continue to make this fantastic programme possible.

Today at our Multi-Agency Summer School Project, our young people enjoyed another fun-filled day packed with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. One of the highlights was a nature walk, delivered with the support of Wellness Walk. Despite the warm weather, everyone embraced the opportunity to explore nature, stay active, and enjoy the many physical and mental wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors.

As part of our educational and awareness programme, young people also participated in an engaging Mental Health First Aid workshop. The session helped them better understand mental health, recognise the signs when someone may be struggling, reduce stigma, and learn how to seek help and support for themselves or others.

The importance of these sessions cannot be overstated. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing numbers of children and young people have experienced anxiety, depression, loneliness, stress, and other mental health challenges. Providing early education, practical coping strategies, and creating safe spaces to talk openly about mental wellbeing is essential in helping young people build resilience and know that support is available.

A huge thank you to all our partners, volunteers, and Sujel Miah facilitators for making another inspiring and memorable day possible.

Our Multi-Agency Summer School Project has been full of exciting opportunities, and this week our young people enjoyed an unforgettable day out at Go Ape, Woburn Safari Park and Gulliver's Land, Milton Keynes.

The trip gave children and young people the chance to challenge themselves on the high ropes at Go Ape, build confidence, overcome fears, develop teamwork skills, and enjoy the thrill of outdoor adventure. They also had a fantastic time at Gulliver's Land, making new friends, creating lasting memories, and simply enjoying being children during the summer holidays.

These educational and recreational trips are an important part of our Summer School programme, promoting physical activity, mental wellbeing, resilience, social inclusion, and positive relationships in a safe and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to all our partners, volunteers, and supporters who made this amazing experience possible. Together, we are ensuring that local children and young people have access to enriching activities, healthy meals, and opportunities to thrive throughout the summer.

This summer, our Multi-Agency Summer School is making a real difference by ensuring that no child goes hungry while school is closed.

Delivered in partnership between Mitalee Youth Association, Diverse FM, JMT Community and Community Interest Luton (CIL), the programme provides FREE healthy, nutritious lunches and fresh fruit every day for children and young people who receive Free School Meals.

During the school holidays, many families face increased financial pressure. Across the UK, millions of children who rely on free school meals during term time are at risk of going hungry when schools close, as the ongoing cost of living crisis and poverty continue to impact household budgets. Access to healthy food is essential for children's wellbeing, learning and development.

Thanks to the generous support of Energise Luton, we are helping to ensure that children and young people can enjoy nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming environment while taking part in fun, educational and engaging summer activities.

Together, we are supporting healthier futures, reducing holiday hunger, and strengthening our community—one meal and one smile at a time.

Yesterday, our Multi-Agency Summer School participants took part in an engaging and informative Hate Crime Awareness Workshop delivered by Bedfordshire Police.

The session helped young people understand what hate crime is, how to recognise it, the impact it has on individuals and communities, and the importance of reporting incidents. Through open discussion and real-life examples, participants gained valuable knowledge about respect, inclusion, equality, and standing up against discrimination.

A huge thank you to Bedfordshire Police for delivering such an insightful and interactive workshop and for supporting our young people to become informed, confident, and responsible members of the community.

Together, we can build safer, stronger, and more inclusive communities where everyone feels respected and valued.
