😔 Carlsberg's closure of Bank's Brewery last year devastated beer lovers.

🍺 Now, its history is being preserved after a collection from the brewery has been donated to Wolverhampton Archives and Local Studies.

📢 A big shout out to Wolverhampton CAMRA for their tireless campaigning, and making sure this iconic brewery is remembered by all.

In my latest column for CAMRA What's Brewing I'm talking nostalgia marketing and the return of Samuel Allsopp & Sons Double Diamond. (Link in comments)

This case is particularly interesting because, for drinkers of a certain age at least, Double Diamond didn't have the best reputation. So I'm fascinated to hear everyone's thoughts on this revived DD, it's careful branding and its place in the current trickle of beer phoenixing (Boddingtons is another example, of course).

There is also a little sidetrack about my visit to The Blue Stoops, because it was absolutely worth a mention.
