If you were born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011, you could have a Child Trust Fund waiting to be claimed!

Police-recorded religious hate crimes targeting Muslims in England and Wales rose by 15% in the year ending March 2026.

November is , and this year’s theme, , reminds us that prejudice should never be dismissed as “banter” or “just a joke”. When harmful attitudes and behaviours go unchallenged, they risk becoming normalised.

As a council, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Muslim communities and partners, united in our determination to challenge Islamophobia and all forms of hate wherever they occur.

If you witness or experience Islamophobia or any other form of hatred, whether online or in person, verbal or physical, please report it. Every report matters and helps us build a safer, more welcoming and inclusive Luton for everyone.

🧡 BLACK HISTORY IS 365 DAYS A YEAR

Our Past. Our Present. Our Future.

As Black History Month draws to a close, one message remains at the heart of our campaign: celebrating Black history, achievements and contributions shouldn’t stop when October ends.

Over the past month, we’ve had the privilege of sharing the stories of people who have helped shape Luton, those making a difference in our communities today, and the next generation helping to build our town’s future.

Each story has reminded us that Black history isn’t just about looking back. It’s about recognising the people, experiences and contributions that continue to shape our communities every day.

To help mark this message, Councillor Jacqueline shared 365 Black, a spoken-word musical performance by Judith Falloon-Reid.

We wanted to share it with you as we reflect on the campaign and look ahead.

🌴 Supporting autism awareness in Saint Lucia through the UK Friends of Autism in St Lucia fundraising initiative.

📚 Keeping history alive through Heritage Horizons and Story Time with Nurse Dessie, educating young people about Windrush history and celebrating the contributions of the Windrush generation.

Every project, every story and every person we support helps shape a more inclusive future. 🖤
