🗣️ Could you help shape services for local families?

Bedfordshire & Luton Children’s Services are looking for parents and carers to join a friendly discussion about their experiences of attending 2-year developmental review appointments.

Your feedback will help them understand what's working well, identify any barriers, and improve services so they better meet the needs of local families.

📍 Luton Central Library (LU1 2NG)
🕞 Arrive from 3:30pm | Discussion 4:00pm–5:30pm

Focus groups:
📅 7 July – Eastern European families
📅 14 July – Asian Pakistani families

You'll receive:
✅ A £20 thank you payment
✅ Refreshments
✅ Translators (where needed)

📍Find the Trail Stall near the Tennis Courts/ First Aid to get your card!

As you explore the event, visit participating stalls and collect all 5 coloured stickers representing the Five to Thrive messages:

🔴 Respond 🟠 Engage 🟢 Relax 🔵 Play 🟣 Talk

Once you've collected all five, head back to the Trail Stall to claim a FREE Five to Thrive goody bag (while stocks last – one per family).

This is a fun way to explore the event, meet local services and learn more about the simple things that help children thrive.

🚨Flying Start Family Hubs/Offices, Sessions, Email and Phoneline all CLOSED on Wednesday 17 June due to Picnic in the Park!

We hope to see you at Wardown Park between 10am and 2pm for the family event, but otherwise- we'll be back open as normal on Thursday 18 June and will respond to messages left from then!

💷 While the event itself is completely FREE, some stalls will be fundraising, so if you're able to, please bring a little money with you

🚗 Parking at Popes Meadow costs £2 (cash or contactless card accepted- new for 2026!)

🧺 Don't forget your picnic- food is not provided at this event!
