When disaster strikes, true character shines through.
Hurricane Melissa left devastating scars across the beautiful island of Jamaica. The problem was clear—but so was the solution.
Callum Solutions placed 5 donation barrels at community centres across Luton. Within 48 hours, every single one was overflowing.
What happened next was extraordinary.
People from every background—every ethnicity, every faith, every walk of life—came together. The response wasn’t just generous; it was overwhelming. Bedfordshire showed what community truly means.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the vision and collaboration of Luton Borough Council, Jamaica National Bank, and The Voice newspaper, who organised the collections. Callum Solutions coordinated the effort alongside incredible community leaders: Jacqui Burnett (LBC), Roy Fearon (Lewsey Learning Centre), Ishrat Fatima (Bury Park Community Centre), Carol Fraser (Farley Community Centre), Joyti Sihra (Hockwell Ring Community Centre), and Steve Brown (Chaul End Community Centre).
Their dedication transformed compassion into action.
This is what happens when we move as one. Not just words—deeds. Not just sympathy—solidarity.
Jamaica, we stand with you.
