Congratulations to Aquilla Explorer Unit for completing their very first camp! 🏕️👏

At the end of an unprecedented heatwave and heading into stormy weather and heavy rain, Aquilla planned, organised and delivered an outstanding programme themselves.

And to top it all off, they completed an incredible 6-hour hike in torrential rain! 🌧️🥾

What a fantastic achievement for a brand-new Explorer Unit. It’s brilliant to see young people taking the lead, challenging themselves and putting their Skills for Life into action ⚜️

A massive well done to everyone involved! 👏🔥

⚜️What a fantastic day for Scouting in Luton! ⚜️

Over the past month, many hundreds, if not thousands, of people have seen that Scouting is still thriving in our local area.

Today in Central Square, we marked the occasion with a fantastic range of activities. At times, we were almost overwhelmed with visitors, with so many people getting involved and taking part in our activities. We’ve also had lots of completed treasure hunt entries! 🔎🎉

A special thank you to Frasers Plus Luton for allowing us to be there and providing the tables, chairs and fencing, and to the amazing member of their marketing team who has been such a fantastic supporter throughout. Their help made both today’s event and our town centre window display possible👏

Thank you also to Luton Rising the new banners!

And, of course, a massive thank you to all our volunteers and Young Leaders who helped make today happen 🎉

A big well done to Barton Cubs today, who were at Asda bag packing for donations, they raised an incredible £330! They are now very close to making the amount required that would supply each cub with a butterfly growing kit for their animal carer badge 🦋

119 years since the very first experimental Scout camp pitched up on Brownsea Island, Dorset.

We’re so proud of everything our volunteers have done since then to give young people a place to belong. Thank you to you all! 🙌
