The young leaders had a great time at Module J last night which covered communication!
They started the evening with a blindfolded instructor and seeker game, followed by Goldilocks and the Three Bears story time, but with trigger words that they had to do actions/sounds when said (anyone walking past while they were barking like dogs would have though they were nutcases! 🤣)

They then learnt about open and closed questions and did mini interview style chats where they had to engage with each other and fill a tick list of the different skills the other person covered.

We finished off with a snowball fight where they wrote on napkins their learnings for the evening and threw them at each other to mix things up.
A great evening with a great group of young people ⚜️

🗺️ Cub Scouts have put their navigation training into practice with a walk around Ampthill Park.
🧭 They located themselves on a map throughout the walk, and used a compass to find the direction of nearby features
🌈 The varying weather was a reminder about how to best prepare for hiking outdoors. While there may not have been gold at the end of the rainbow, knowing how to navigate and not get yourself lost is just as valuable as a

🐝🌼 Saturday Squirrels celebrated World Bee Day this week with a fantastic evening of activities

They enjoyed a visit from a beekeeper, tasted different types of honey 🍯 and planted bee friendly flowers to help support local wildlife and pollinators 🌸🐝

To top off the evening, one of our Squirrels was proudly awarded their Chief Scout Acorn Award 👏🏅 A brilliant achievement and very well deserved!

🥚⚜️ Dauntless Explorers took on a problem solving challenge this week!

The mission? Build something capable of transporting an egg safely across the hall using teamwork, creativity and plenty of problem solving skills 👏

The Explorers came up with some brilliant ideas and worked together to test, adapt and improve their designs throughout the evening. A fun challenge with lots of laughs and great teamwork along the way!🥚🚀⚜️
