It was designed, developed and run with young people as

a forum and offers a range of positive and exciting activities aimed at stretching primarily 13-19 (up to 25 with a disability) year olds’ imaginations and extending ambition and potential. Tokko boasts youth membership and provides a safe place where young people can access a range of facilities, leisure activities and support services. Whether you need help with a CV, want to make new friends, learn a new skill or need to access our Counselling Service – then Tokko is the place to be. During the daytime Tokko supports local businesses through hosting meetings, supporting networks and offering a variety of multi-functional rooms for hire. Next time you need a venue come to us; by using Tokko you are helping make a difference to young people and both their and our future.

As part of Knife Crime Awareness Week last week, and through our ongoing commitment to making Luton a safer place for young people, we partnered with the Luton Community Policing Team and Luton Youth Partnership Service delivering street-based youth work.

Together, we carried out dedicated engagement work across the town centre and supported the knife surrender initiative, which resulted in 444 knives being collected across Luton over the past week.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping create safer communities and supporting young people to make positive choices.

🔪 Operation Sceptre – Knife Bin Results Across Luton

As part of Operation Sceptre Week, officers from Community Policing Teams across Luton have been proactively tackling knife crime by emptying all three knife surrender bins located at:

📍 St Dominic’s Square
📍 Hightown Road
📍 Luton Town Centre

The bins were emptied on two occasions:

15/05/2026 – 369 knives recovered
26/05/2026 – 75 additional knives recovered

✅ A total of 444 knives have now been safely collected and destroyed.

These results highlight the importance of knife surrender bins in helping to remove dangerous weapons from our streets and keep our communities safe.

Thank you to everyone who continues to use these facilities responsibly. Together, we are making a difference. 💙
