A few months ago Mary E Hearne Community Arts invited us to take part in an art project called Postcards From Home. The project was about our identity, our surroundings and how that shapes who we are. Today we saw the final exhibition that involved work from survivors of an acquired brain injury, people connected to Care4Calais and other artists. It’s in the old Debenhams window, at the end near Lidl/ShoeZone You will see art representing Luton and Luton history as well as works from newcomers to our town who are telling the story of countries they have had to flee due to international conflicts.
