☀️A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR ST JOSEPH’S SCOUT HUT! ☀️

Today we were delighted to celebrate with our Squirrels as we received our big cheque from The National Lottery Community Fund to support our new Solar & Battery Project! 🎉

The project will see solar panels and battery storage installed at The Ed Duggan Scout Hut, helping us generate our own electricity and make our hut more sustainable for the future🌱🔋

We’re incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for awarding us the full grant 🎉👏This funding will make a huge difference to our Scout hut and help us continue investing in a better home for our young people.

🐿️ Our Squirrels were very excited to help us celebrate today, and they’ll hopefully be seeing the first panels going up very soon!

🔨 Installation is due to begin at the end of October 🎉

Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for helping us make it happen! ☀️⚜️

📸 BEAVERS GET CREATIVE! ⚜️

Last week our Beavers headed to Stockwood Park for an evening of photography as they worked towards their Photographer Badge. 📷🌳

Armed with phones and cameras, they explored the park, looked at the world around them from different perspectives and captured their favourite moments.

It was a great opportunity to get outdoors, be creative and learn new skills while having fun together. 🙌

⚜️SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY💙

Today, along with Aquilla & Riparian Explorers were proud to help out at the Luton Dementia Awareness Walk at Wardown Park 🎉

Helping to direct walkers along the route and hand out water 🥾

It was a brilliant opportunity for our young people to get involved in the local community 🤝

Scouting isn’t just about adventure. It’s about being part of your community too 👏
