The Archer

The Archer East Finchley's community newspaper since 1993, run by volunteers, delivered free to 10K homes in N2. Nobody gets paid for anything.

The paper is written, edited, designed, produced and delivered entirely by volunteer members of the community. We are supported by advertising from local businesses and kind donations from the public. Any surplus funds are ploughed back into the community.

Can you help us deliver The Archer? 📰

We’re looking for a volunteer to cover Gurney Drive and Vivian Way in HGS. The papers are delivered to you at the beginning of each month — you simply pop them through everyone’s letterboxes. The round takes about 45 minutes.

Delivering The Archer is a lovely way to connect with your neighbourhood. As one of our volunteers, Elaine says:

“It’s always very nice when you deliver The Archer and get a ‘thank you’.”

Our volunteers often say they enjoy reading it just as much as delivering it. In the words of Mike:

“It’s such a delight to get The Archer yourself. It’s just a gift that keeps on giving - a never-ending postcard.”

If you can spare 45 minutes once a month, please do get in touch by DM or email: [email protected]
