"What started as an initiative to support homeless families has grown beyond our wildest dreams," Twomey reflected. "Today, we celebrate a success I never imagined possible. "Founded by former Headteacher Suzy Powlesland MBE, Dennis Twomey, and late Myra Garrett, LHP has become one of London's leading community initiatives.

Celebrating 40 yrs of Dedication

Limehouse Project celebrated its 40th anniversary last September 2024, with an honourable event in Regent Lake, Bow Wharf. LHP celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to Tower Hamlets' underprivileged residents, offering vital assistance in the form of guidance, knowledge, skill development, and campaigns to increase civic engagement.
Limehouse Project has supported Tower Hamlets’ most vulnerable since 1984. Today, we serve 6,000 residents and look forward to sharing our journey soon.

Celebrating 40 yrs of Dedication
Limehouse Project has spent over four decades serving and assisting the most disadvantaged populations in Tower Hamlets. Since our modest beginnings in 1984, helping families experiencing homelessness and poverty, we have expanded greatly, now serving 6,000 residents across the entire borough with our dedicated staff. We look forward to sharing our journey over the next few months.

For over 40 years, Limehouse Project has supported Tower Hamlets' most disadvantaged communities. From our start in 1984 helping families facing homelessness and poverty, we've grown to serve 6,000 residents' borough-wide. We’re excited to share our journey in the coming months.
