Creativity with Community

Stitches in Time is an community arts and education charity. We support our local community through arts, to increase learning, community well-being, social change & empowerment. We run regular programmes for survivors of domestic violence, long-term unemployed women, families living in poverty, elders facing isolation, survivors of trafficking, for children in areas of

deprivation, and for women with English as a second language. People’s ambitions and aspirations at the heart of our projects. We design and facilitate individual workshops, through to long-term projects and big community events. We run a range of textile, sewing and creative workshops, taught by our professional team of artists. Discover new skills, from dressmaking to embroidery, machining to silk painting, everyone comes away with something beautiful they’ve made themselves. All profits from our classes go back to supporting our charitable activities. COMMISSION US! FabricWorks is the enterprise programme of Stitches in Time. We provide training in tailoring and sewing skills and we offer a bespoke production service for textile commissions. Income generated by FabricWorks supports Stitches in Time community development and education programmes. VOLUNTEER NOW

Last Friday we were in full swing with our Ceilidh fundraiser! And what a fundraiser it was!

The whole event was a huge success and we reached our fundraising target of £3,000 - with thanks to our staff and trustees who got everything ready for the night.

And a huge thanks to for donating the space! and .the.greenman for supporting us in the planning, the night itself and the clean up, we're exceedingly grateful!

It couldn't have happened without the wonderful band The Muckers donating their time and their tunes, thank you soo much, it was a riotous success with you all at the helm! https://www.muckers.org.uk

And to and the individuals who donated items to our raffle, thank you for your generosity and support 🙏💛

Your toes might be tingling and shoulders shimming in anticipation of our Ceilidh Fundraiser this month!

Don't worry if you don't know Ceilidh dances, the band and the caller on the night will guide you through the moves.

But dancing is not a requirement! Come and enjoy the music, the well stocked bar and the company.

🎊Join us for a Ceilidh to fundraise for Stitches in Time! 🎻🎶

🪩Scottish country dancing will be led by the fabulous Muckers!

💃No experience is necessary, the caller will walk you through the steps.

Along with many other charities, we are now faced with a dilemma. Funding sources are disappearing fast, which is affecting us very badly. All profits from this event will go towards supporting our work.

The band, staff and the building have donated the space, their time and their tunes to support this fundraiser, we just need you to buy a ticket, share the event and come and dance the night away!🍾🕺🏽🙌
