Real stories from real mums. This is why Singing Mamas exists.

“Singing Mamas is the light in my week. Being seen, heard, and connected with is such a rare thing in motherhood.

It’s made me a more confident person too — it was the first thing I ever went to completely on my own with my son. Now I do new stuff with him all the time!”

Real stories from real mums. This is why Singing Mamas exists ✨

“Singing Mamas is amazing for women, especially for us Mums.

It’s a place to go, where you can come as you are, be yourself and feel part of a community of women, who all share the same struggles but come together to find joy in singing.

It’s the only group I know which is truly for the Mums and our wellbeing, but the babies and kids love it too and get to do their thing. Singing is so good for the soul and the songs we share are like medicine.”

- Group member, North West England | Leader: Emily Sharples (Chorley)

One song. One session.

She’d been standing at the door of groups for months and walking away again. Severe anxiety. Under perinatal mental health services. From the outside she looked like she was doing really well.

Singing Mamas was the first group where she actually made through the door. She sang. She went home and sang the songs she’d learned. And one night that week, when her baby was unsettled and she was too anxious to settle him herself, her partner brought him back to her and said: I think he needs your songs.

She took him. She sang. She sat with him. For the first time.

That was one song. One session.

Imagine what happens next. 🧡

If you need a group like this, follow and we’ll help you find your nearest one.

If you want to be part of the movement that creates spaces like this follow , and sign up to our waitlist. We’re training a new bunch of leaders in October and we know there are women in your community who need this. 🧡

This week is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. 🧡

Right now, 165 Singing Mamas groups are meeting across the UK and beyond. Every single week, over 2,000 women and children walk through our doors.

We sing together, we show up for each other, and somewhere in that 90 minutes a woman who walked in feeling like she was disappearing into motherhood remembers what her own voice sounds like.

This is what we do, every single week, 52 weeks a year.

If you’re a mama looking for your nearest group, come and find out more about them at 🧡

And if you’re curious about the movement behind the groups: the training, the partnerships, the women who make it happen that’s what you’ll find 🧡

This isn’t your typical mum & baby group…
It’s something a little different 🧡

Yes, babies are always welcome.
But this space is just as much for you.

No pressure to perform.
No need to have it all together.
You can arrive exactly as you are.

Through simple, gentle songs
we create space to breathe, soften,
and feel a sense of connection again.

To have a moment for yourself.

Come and experience it for yourself.

This is the sound of putting yourself first for an hour 🧡

Go easy
Go easy on yourself

The world can wait.
The to-do list can wait.
The messages can wait.

For one hour…
you get to sit, breathe, sing
and just be held in the sound.

No pressure.
No performing.
No getting it right.

Just voices, together.
Just a little softness, in a world that asks a lot.

If you’ve been needing a sign to take a moment for you…
this might be it.

The song is Go Easy by Heather Pierson

Sometimes you just need someone to write the perfect song that sums up Motherhood and send it out into the universe to bring strength to all Mamas!

This is Maria, one of our new trainees. She's a Mum of two and a musician. She came to our Song Leader Development day to nourish herself and continue her training. Maria gifted us this wonderful song whilst feeding her seven month old in the breaks. How amazing are Mums??

We are so grateful for Maria and for this song that gives permission to feel ALL the moments of Motherhood. The days we wish ended quicker and the moments we never want to end.

Singing Mamas makes a space for it all with a song to hold all the things it is easier to sing than say.

Because we sing together.
Because we are in it together. 🧡

This is Long Days by Maria Grapsa. Maria says 'if other Mums/women will benefit from it that will give me great joy.' We do benefit from it and from you, Maria. ⭐️

If you want to contact Maria about this song you can find her instagram .grapsa

If you are being nudged to train with us and share what makes you YOU then send us a DM and we can help you take the next step!

At the intersection of health and arts.

A group that is both “low-cost, easy to access, effective treatment” AND a community where mums want to stay.

Singing Mamas reaches thousands of women a week but we’re ready to make this tens of thousands!

Drop us a DM if you want to be a part of this: joining a group, leading a group, funding a group, helping to get us in front of healthcare professionals…

As seen on BBC Morning Live.

Part of the fun of Singing Mamas is learning a song together. Laughing when we get a word wrong and not having to try.

Clem is one of our new trainees. See how she holds us and guides us through the parts: no fuss, no pressure, just voices finding their way in together. This is exactly what it feels like to be led by someone who genuinely loves the song they're sharing. 🧡

🔈 'Wassail: Apples Pears' by Kim Campbell-Thomas. If you would like to share or teach this song please email Kim for permission: [email protected]
