Talitha Arts Talitha Arts delivers therapeutic arts programmes to help support mental health and well-being

Talitha began by providing arts workshops to International Justice Mission, working in association with professionals in aftercare homes for girls rescued from sexual trafficking and violent abuse in India. Talitha’s work has expanded to other vulnerable client groups within the UK, conducting workshops for women coming out of domestic violence and also for survivors of sexual exploitation, as well working those living with dementia. Talitha is of particular value to those who find engaging and communicating challenging due to language barriers, trauma, sexual exploitation and/or emotional and physical abuse.

✨ We are half-way through The Big Give Women and Girls match funding week! ✨

It’s been a brilliant week at Talitha Arts, and The Big Give gives you the chance to double your impact for women and girls! 🎨

Here is a look at what your support like yours made possible this week:

• At The Baytree Centre in Brixton, young girls (aged 11–14) were so excited for our weekly session - afterwards, they described themselves as "happy," "energetic," "artistic," and "lovely."
• At the Gaia Centre refuge, women created beautiful lanterns during session 4 of 6, sharing: "These sessions are really helping me."

Next week, we are looking forward to continuing these sessions and visiting Nightingale and Dalemead Care Homes to bring joy and reminiscence to residents living with dementia, the majority of whom are women. 💖

What a fantastic few weeks it’s been at Talitha! ✨

We’ve been busy delivering workshops at Dalemead and Nightingale, and last week we launched our brand-new programme at Gaia—an incredible charity supporting anyone impacted by gender-based violence.

September always feels like a fresh start here at Talitha Arts! 🍂✨

We’re so excited to head back to Nightingale and Dalemead care homes tomorrow to launch brand-new workshop programmes with their wonderful residents. As Autumn sets in, we’re looking forward to celebrating harvest together through the arts, connection, and joy.

This is just the beginning of a busy season for us - watch this space for updates on all the new programmes kicking off this Autumn! 🎨🍂
