💔 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED - Meet Stan 💔
Today we’d like to introduce you to Stan
Stan was adopted from Lucky’s Legacy Rescue as a puppy and, through no fault of his own, is now returning to our care. Due to his owner’s declining health, she has been unable to give him the exercise and lifestyle he needs, and with changes to her living arrangements, she has made the incredibly difficult decision to let him come back to us.
Stan is approximately 6 years old and is looking for an experienced emergency foster while we get to know him better and find him a new home.
Stan is a sweet, sensitive boy who just needs a little time to trust new people. He is particularly wary of unfamiliar people entering the home and will bark when visitors first arrive. Given time, space and a calm approach, he settles well, but he needs someone who understands that trust can’t be rushed.
He also has a history of escaping through open doors and slipping out of equipment, so he’ll need a foster who is confident managing a dog with high escape risk. Secure handling and a secure garden are essential.
The positives: Stan is house-trained, travels well in the car, has lived happily with another dog, enjoys learning, and loves getting out for walks. With the right routine and guidance, we’re hopeful he’ll thrive!
🏡 We’re looking for a foster home that can offer:
🐾 A calm, patient adult household (no young children)
🐾 A secure garden and excellent door management
🐾 No cats or small animals
🐾 Someone happy to continue his training and build his confidence
🐾 Experience with nervous or foreign rescueswould be a huge advantage
Stan has lost the only home he’s ever known, and we’d love to move him straight into a foster home where he can decompress and and get ready for a new home
If you think you could offer Stan a safe place to stay, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. If fostering isn’t possible for you, sharing this post could help us find the perfect person for him ❤️
