Greenwich Carers Centre Greenwich Carers Centre is a charity that offers a range of fantastic services to all carers

We finance our services by using a variety of funding partners and donors; the main source of our present income being through the London Borough of Greenwich Social Services Department. Other sources of income include various Corporate and private donors. Greenwich is very fortunate in that it has Authorities that are prepared to be proactive in working with Carers and supporting their needs. We are pleased to say that we have been a key player alongside Social Services, the Health Authority, Carers and other local agencies in developing and designing the Boroughs Carers Information, Assessment, and Support Services.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Let's continue building a community where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued. A reminder this World Mental Health Day: you are not alone. Support is available, and asking for help is a sign of strength.

🎉A very special announcement

We haven't been able to share this with you until now, but we're incredibly proud (and still a little shocked!) to announce that Greenwich Carers Centre has been named a finalist in the national Carers UK Awards 2026.
We've been shortlisted for the Outstanding Carers Service Award, alongside an NHS Trust and several highly regarded carers organisations from across the UK.
We won't know the outcome until 15 October, but being shortlisted is a huge achievement for our charity and a wonderful recognition of the dedication, creativity and hard work that goes into supporting carers every day.
For more than 35 years, we've worked alongside unpaid carers, helping people navigate some of life's most challenging periods. To receive recognition at this level is humbling, exciting, a little scary, and incredibly encouraging.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Our staff, volunteers, trustees, partners, funders and, most importantly, most of you, have all played a part in this moment.
Whatever happens next, we're enormously proud to be representing you, us and of course, Greenwich on the national stage. We'll keep you posted on how we get on! 💙
