Last week we chatted to BBC Radio 4 and Sky News about the new learning centres we have opened in Gaza and the response has been incredible. We have raised thousands to keep young children learning even in war. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far.

These initial centres are reaching just over 700 children in Gaza, but there is a long list of more little learners who are keen to join. The more we raise with this appeal, the more children we will be able to reach so they don’t miss out on their education.

The first five years of life are too important to pause, even during war.

A small investment in the littlest children can have a big impact.

We work in some of the world's most challenging environments to give under-5s the best start in life. In Gaza, we have opened 12 new temporary learning centres to restore early learning, play and hope, but we need to reach more children.

We trained 250 girls with disabilities in basic IT skills and provided mentorship from local professionals in the digital sector, with AEJT Uvira.

As a fundraiser, you're helping more children like Andrea* access the education and future they deserve.

Andrea said: "I thought digital technology was for other people, not for girls like me...The project showed me that my disability does not define my abilities."
