Our fundraising Chatty Lunch was held at The Wheatsheaf Inn at Egton today. We had delicious food as you can see from the photos below. Ann devised a devilishly difficult quiz which kept us entertained & we tried our luck winning the lovely prizes on offer in the raffle.

With big thanks to Neil & his team at the Wheatsheaf & as always to our lovely supporters for coming.

The Victoria Hotel & Robin Hoods Bay were looking splendid today for our NSPCC Christmas Chatty Lunch.

The lovely Claire Marris, Archive Development Officer from Whitby Museum gave us a really interesting talk on some historical aspects of Christmas including the wassail cup, the lucky bird & fromarty.

The food was delicious with salmon, beef cheeks & traditional turkey dinner followed by citrus possett, Christmas pudding, chocolate tart or a magnificent cheeseboard.

The little grey brain cells were given some exercise with a dingbat quiz. (Messsge me if you’d like the ansas)
and we tried our luck on the raffle.

With heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended & contributed to a most successful occasion!
Thank you 🙏

🎄 Happy Christmas from all at the NSPCC! 🎄
