If you have children, have you made your wishes clear about who should care for them if you're no longer there?

Our latest research found that just 11% of parents surveyed have appointed a legal guardian in their Will, while 62% don't have a valid Will.

A Will can help you make important decisions about your children's future and give those around you greater clarity about your wishes.

If making or updating your Will has been on your to-do list, Will Aid 2026 is open for enquiries.

📣 One month to go!

November is just around the corner, and if making or updating your Will has been sitting on your to-do list, now is a good time to start.

Will Aid brings together participating solicitors across the UK who volunteer their time to write basic Wills. Instead of their usual fee, clients are invited to make an upfront donation to Will Aid's eight partner charities.

You can find your participating solicitor now and make an enquiry ahead of November.

One of the many benefits of writing your Will through Will Aid is that you can register it for free with The National Will Register.

The National Will Register keeps a record of where your Will is stored, so that it can be located when it is needed. It now holds more than 10.5 million records, and one in five searches for a Will thought to be missing or not to exist results in a document being found.

Registration would normally cost £30, but it's free for Wills written through Will Aid.

So when you make your Will through Will Aid this November, ask your solicitor about registering it with The National Will Register too.

Think you need to be wealthy to need a Will?

Our recent research found that 29% of people who don't have a Will said they haven't made one because they don't have anything worth leaving.

But a Will isn't just about property or significant wealth. It gives you a say in what happens to your money, possessions and other assets, and can help make sure the people who matter to you are provided for.

As solicitor Chloe Hennessey of Open Law puts it, everyone has someone to leave behind.

If making or updating your Will has been on your to-do list, Will Aid 2026 is now open for enquiries.

Did you see Martin Lewis talking about Will Aid on This Morning yesterday?

We have solicitors up and down the UK taking part in the campaign this November, but if there isn't currently a solicitor near you please keep checking over the coming weeks as more firms are added to our system. There are also several firms who will write your Will remotely.

Solicitors in towns and cities across the country are taking part in Will Aid this year, and we're continuing to add more participating firms to the list over the coming weeks.

And if you can't find a participating solicitor near you, we also have several firms who have kindly agreed to take Will Aid instructions remotely. Depending on the firm, appointments can take place by phone, post, email or video call, so you don't necessarily need to be based nearby.

For Ewings & Co, taking part in Will Aid has brought benefits that extend beyond the campaign itself.

The firm has raised more than £70,000 for Will Aid over the years and recently visited Crisis to see some of the work supported by the campaign.

Charlotte Ekong from the firm also shared how taking part has helped raise the firm's profile within the local community and introduce the team to potential new clients. 🤝

Some of those relationships have continued long after the original Will Aid appointment, with clients returning to amend their Wills as their circumstances change and adult children becoming clients too.

It’s a great example of how Will Aid can help firms build relationships in their communities while doing something worthwhile for others.

Thank you to everyone at Ewings & Co for their continued commitment to Will Aid. ❤️
