Climate change is already reshaping global health — from rising disease outbreaks to overstretched clinics and disrupted supply chains.

In The House Magazine (PoliticsHome), Danny Chambers MP makes the case that universal health coverage is not a distant aspiration but a lifeline — and that retreating from global health leadership will carry consequences for the UK and beyond.

We worked with Danny on this piece to highlight how climate shocks, rising debt and shrinking aid budgets are converging to strain health systems worldwide.

When countries are forced to spend more on debt repayments than on doctors and nurses, health systems cannot cope. When antimicrobial resistance rises in one region, it affects us all.

This is about national security, moral responsibility and economic opportunity.

We’re proud to support strong parliamentary voices making the case for global health.
