Ashley Boolell is Founder of 𝗥𝘆𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, a London-based corporate finance intermediary providing capital introductions and strategic advisory to SMEs and mid-cap companies across the UK and internationally. The firm works across debt capital raising, foreign exchange and commodities hedging, and trade finance, drawing on Ashley’s two decades of experience in financial markets.

Having spent 11 years on the trading floors of Natixis before moving to Shard Capital, where he developed the foreign exchange and commodities business, Ashley brings a practitioner’s perspective from the capital markets and corporate finance ecosystem. Uwem Uwemakpan is Head of Investments at 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, where he identifies and backs early-stage African founders building businesses across the continent. He brings more than a decade of experience in African venture capital and entrepreneurship, having previously managed investments at Ingressive Capital and played a leading role in the Tony Elumelu Foundation’s pan-African entrepreneurship programme, which supported more than 10,000 entrepreneurs.

Ernst Dolce is Co-Founder and CEO of 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗾𝗼𝗿𝗮, a financial technology company focused on using AI to improve the efficiency of financial-market operations. His work sits at the intersection of financial services, technology and automation, with Banqora developing AI-driven solutions for areas such as reconciliation, data migration and post-trade processing.

Aymen Karoui is Head of Methodology at Inrate, where he leads the development of methodological frameworks, quantitative analytics, and product design for sustainability and ESG impact ratings. With over 15 years of experience spanning asset management, academia, and ESG research, he brings a strong quantitative perspective to the evolving role of data and technology in financial decision-making.

His career has included developing quantitative strategies and portfolio risk models, leading the development of ESG risk and climate models, and overseeing model governance and validation frameworks. More recently, his work has examined the opportunities and challenges of applying AI to ESG ratings, including the consistency, transparency, and reliability of AI-generated assessments. Dr Islem Rekik is an Associate Professor in Computing at Imperial College London and Director of the BASIRA (Brain And SIgnal Research & Analysis) Laboratory. At the intersection of artificial intelligence, brain imaging, and neuroscience, she leads research exploring how AI can advance our understanding of the human brain and improve healthcare.

With over 250 peer-reviewed publications, Dr Rekik is an internationally recognised researcher and recipient of the 2024 Tunisian AI Award. Beyond her scientific contributions, she is a co-founder and former President of RISE-MICCAI, advocating for greater inclusivity and diversity in AI research and supporting researchers from underrepresented communities.
