Join us in celebrating the launch of the new Story Garden! 🌻

Over the past few years, we’ve been working hard to transform this brownfield site on York Street (nicknamed the ) into our first ever permanent community garden space.

From start to finish, we worked with local (and wider) communities, including students, young people, local residents, volunteers, and businesses, all with the aim of creating a space that’s not only beautiful but can be enjoyed for generations to come. Our new Story Garden carries on the legacy of all our previous gardens. We have learnt so much while completing the build, so as we near the end, we are inviting you down this summer to celebrate the new space! ☀️

Expect a day of fun activities for the whole family, live performances, delicious food & drinks, as well as Grass on the Grass! A free family-friendly workshop with brass quintet, Connaught Brass at 1 p.m. (generously supported by the Community Programme)

That's a wrap on the spring sessions of UnCooked! 🔪

Uncooked was a spin-off version of our regular Cook Club, exploring healthy recipes we can make with minimal or no cooking equipment, adapting to our Floating Garden space. Young people learned about ancient food preservation methods like pickling and the health benefits of fermented food, all while learning essential cooking skills like using a knife safely.

It wouldn't be a Global Generation project without connecting deeper to the plants we are eating. In 'UnCooked!', young people are encouraged to pay attention to the colours, patterns, sensations of the vegetables, all whilst learning their stories and enjoying the coots, moorhens and geese swimming by.

Using our garden on a barge as inspiration, we also made stamps capturing the textures and patterns of the living and non-living world around us using eco plasticine.

Dining in the Garden, our supper club series is back for 2026! 🍽️

Eat a delicious menu prepared by a chef, with a wine pairing, in our beautiful community garden space after hours, all while helping to raise funds for our charity.

We kick off in June with chef who will be taking over Paper Garden with a bespoke menu of locally sourced produce and provisions! In his own words:

"Supper clubs are a chance for me to cook the kind of food I really love to eat - thoughtful, ingredient-led dishes, served in a relaxed, welcoming way."

Tickets are £80, if you bring a friend and include three courses, wine pairing and a welcome cocktail!

The sunshine is here at Paper Garden and it has been lovely to see the changes to the space as lots of plants come into bloom all at once!

Did you know outside of our own educational programming that you can hire out the space for your own events and workshops? (In the last few weeks we've had community dinners, a kintsugi workshop, a birthday party, a permaculture course and more!)

Celebrate four years of the Floating Garden with us this month!

Moored on Regent's Canal, the Floating Garden has hosted school workshops, community gatherings, meetings, music nights and more. What a joy to have this space right in the heart of Kings Cross.

We will open up the boat for an afternoon of family friendly nature activities, a plant sale and more and then in the evening we will have music and a bar with special botanical mocktails and cocktails made from our own fruit and herbal infusions!

Come for the afternoon, the evening or both! Tickets are free, but to help us manage numbers, make sure to book through our website!
