Exactly two months ago we opened the garden for our big Community Launch day. It was a joyous celebration of years of planning, construction, digging, planting, moving and more.

We had:
- a materials library display and short film by Lucy Sheikh on the build traineeship
- a live performance by , coordinated by
- entertainment by the Sunshine Place
- willow weaving, free play and reflective drawing by the swings
- delicious food by
- a display of the embroidery project completed by our generators with

Can you spot yourself in any of the photos?

We are so excited to be more settled into the space and to see familiar faces coming back to the garden since autumn has begun. Open today as usual 10 - 5 p.m.!

A little over a year ago, the old Story Garden opened its big yellow gates for the last time. We gathered and played, told stories around the fire and celebrated one last time together.

This video by Lucy Sheikh captures the final day and people interacting with their exhibition 'Inwardly and Outwardly' an interactive soundscape, circular, communal structure, encouraging participants to make their own music.

Now the Story Garden is located on York Way, where more stories can be told. Have you been by for a visit yet?

Have you met Hannaan? One of our King's Cross Senior Generators, 2026 has been a big year for her - newly elected as Camden's Youth MP and also selected as the moderator of the Leading the change: Youth at the frontline of climate action panel at Earthfest this past June. We are so impressed by everything she has achieved so far and can't wait to see what she gets up to next!

Do you know a young person aged 14+ who is interested in nature or social justice? Whether they want to make new friends, build new skills and confidence or figure out what they're passionate about, at Global Generation we aim to inspire a journey of discovery, for themselves, their community and the Planet. Head to our website to read more or sign up for our Senior Gens programme kicking off this autumn!

We can't believe it has been two months since our first Dining in the Garden Supper Club Series. Chef Johnny Kiernan brought together a stellar team to cook a menu inspired by Sicily but sourced entirely locally, including our Bermondsey neighbours , Father Tom Jones.

Swipe through to see some snaps from the evening by talented J Y Mak including the stunning burnt honey, peach and bay leaf meringue roulade!

We took a little break for the summer, but we are back this autumn with more delicious food in the garden. Our next date is September 18th and subscribers to our newsletter will hear first who the chosen chef will be...👀

Otherwise stay tuned for our announcement next week!
