Nominations are now open via our website (https://operaawards.org/nominate ) for the 2026 International Opera Awards.
This is your chance to tell us about the artists, ensembles and organisations who stood out for you in the past season.
Nominations should be for achievements between Sept 1, 2025 and Aug 24, 2026.
You don't have to work in opera to nominate, and you don't have to be an expert. We welcome nominations from opera lovers everywhere: if a production, performance, or artist made you think, or made you laugh, or made you cry, tell us about it.
You can nominate in every single category, just one, or anything in between, and if you're spoilt for choice, that's fine: multiple submissions are accepted.
Your nominations are what our jury of international opera administrators and critics will use to determine our 2026 shortlists and winners: so the only way to guarantee your favourites are in the running is to nominate them. Don't miss this opportunity to have your say, and see your favourites celebrated at this year's ceremony: taking place on November 21st in Vienna, where the prestigious MusikTheater an der Wien will host the “Oscars of the opera world” for the very first time
