It’s going to be a mega day on 19 Sep at Fairfield Halls thanks to Open House Festival 🔥

We’ve got a whole day of free performances lined up for you. Come and watch one of our friendly performances in the concert hall, check out some vibrant local talent in our community showcase or drop into our open rehearsal. We’re here from 11am, so why not make a day of it?

There’s loads of other cool stuff happening too, including technical workshops, guided tours and an exhibition from Talawa Presents 🎭

Big news for our cello section today - Leo Popplewell and Kate Gould are taking up new positions as our Joint Principal Cellos 👏

Our new Joint Principal Cellos Wed 5 Aug 2026 We’re so excited to have both Leo and Kate leading our cello section. The news is twice as nice today as we’re appointing Leo Popplewell and Kate Gould as Joint Principal Cello. We feel very lucky to have these two wonderful players in our orchestra....

Break a leg? ❌ Break a…violin? ✔️

We’re gearing up to expect the unexpected when Roderick Williams - Baritone joins us at St Martin-in-the-Fields this October for some Mozart opera arias.

(We’ve been reassured that no violins will be harmed in our 2026/27 season 👀)

We were pretty moved to hear that after an accident meant she could no longer play the violin, Riya found a new way to keep music in her life through singing.

Her story makes it feel that extra bit special that she’ll be joining us next February to sing Mozart’s Requiem with Trinity Boys Choir and Trinity Girls Choir at Fairfield Halls We can’t wait 🫶
