Yesterday was quite a profound day! It marked the end of another fantastic year of Daniel’s Den and also I had the wonderful joy of meeting Amy, one of the original babies who came to the very first Daniel's Den session on Monday 11th November 1996!

Our ‘send a sheep’ challenge this summer led to 250+ sheep going to parliament and 6 going to Stephen Timms MP office. Amy told me that she and her mum had been using Psalm 23 as a key scripture to pray over her pregnancy and when she came and sat down at her desk, she was astonished to see sheep everywhere. She was so blessed and staggered to hear how they’d arrived in the office.

We talked about Daniel’s Den and its impact … and the preparations for our 30th anniversary celebrations!

On my way out of Parliament I spotted a Yorkshire flag in Parliament Square and then noticed it was a collection of flags of all the counties. A wonderful reminder of the influence of 1277 Make Them Count across our nation … what a fitting end of the year!

Now time to rest and enjoy the summer break x
