Happy New Year 🥳
Street Pastors from different locations across the UK came together and completed a wonderful patrol in central London doing what we love by caring, listening and helping. Thousands of people were in the heart of London celebrating and watching fire works. The team felt privileged to be part of a great evening showing GOD’s love. A special thank you to Mike for all the hard work organising this special outing.

As Christmas approaches, I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for the tremendous work you have all accomplished throughout 2025.

To our Management Committees, thank you for your strategic oversight, governance and unwavering commitment to ensuring our initiatives remain effective and true to our mission. Your leadership and wisdom provide the foundation upon which everything else is built.

To our Coordinators, you are the backbone of our operations. Your dedication in recruiting, training, rostering, and supporting volunteers, often working behind the scenes and going the extra mile, keeps our initiatives running smoothly week after week. Your pastoral care for your teams does not go unnoticed.

And to our Pastor volunteers, you are the heart and soul of what we do. Whether you're on the streets, in schools, at railway stations, responding to crises or faithfully praying for our communities, you bring hope, compassion and the love of Christ to those who need it most. Your willingness to give your time, often sacrificing comfort and convenience, makes a real and lasting difference in countless lives.

Together, you embody the true spirit of service and I am honoured to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate community.

As we look ahead to 2026, I'm excited about what God will achieve through us, as we continue to serve and transform communities across the nation.

It was a real privilege for Chris Jewell, as CEO of Street Pastors in Scotland to commission 7 new Street Pastors as Dumfries and Galloway Street Pastors was officially launched in the River of Life at St Mary’s church in Dumfries recently.
Those present supporting the occasion were Fiona Armstrong, Lady MacGregor, the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries, Rev Rosie Frew, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, Chief Inspector Duncan Cameron, a representative of the local Council and many from our existing Borders Street Pastor initiative.
Chris said “I am so happy to see this group established, and with their fist patrol coming on 19th December they will make a real ongoing difference to the Dumfries community.” Welcome to the family”.

Greater Bangor Area Street Pastors

It is with deep sadness that we received the news that our dear brother Josh, one of Ascension Trust’s very first American ATRs (Ascension Trust Representatives), has gone home to be with the Lord.

Sharon and I often reflect on the precious time we spent with him and the rest of the team. We had the privilege of training him, walking with him, and witnessing first-hand the sincerity of his calling. His genuine passion for people was undeniable. Josh carried a pastoral heart that could be felt by anyone who sat across a table from him or served alongside him on the streets. He was a man who listened deeply, cared wholeheartedly, and loved without hesitation.

Josh will be profoundly missed by all who had the honour of knowing him. His legacy of compassion, service, and quiet strength will continue to speak long after his earthly journey has ended.

On behalf of Sharon and I, and the entire Ascension Trust family, we salute you, Street Pastor. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Amy, their children, their wider family and friends, and the whole Bangor Street Pastor team. We stand with you in prayer, love, and solidarity during this difficult time.

May the grace of God the Son, the love of God our Father, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit surround and uphold every heart touched by this loss.

Josh, until such time… may you rest in eternal peace.

Please give a warm welcome to our brand new Rail Pastors made up of experienced Street Pastors from Sittingbourne joining the scheme that covers the Southeasten network. They had their very first patrol today and brought a great many smiles to commuters and Rail Staff. They have now joined this amazing project with Rail Pastors working in partnership with Southeastern. Looking out for those who feel vulnerable, alone, or just need a friendly face to show how much we care for everyone out and about. They supply hot drinks, sweets and special stickers that say “We love Trains 🚆”.
They had a wonderful patrol continuing the mission of caring, listening and helping. Thank you team 🫡. Welcome guys! A shout out to all Rail Pastors throughout the UK. ❤️

Our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated and will be in place until at least 9am tomorrow (Thurs 20 November) in response to the Met Office's forecast of low overnight temperatures.

This means rough sleepers in West Northants will be provided with somewhere warm and dry to stay overnight.

All known rough sleepers are being made aware, but if you know someone sleeping rough who needs access to accommodation, please ask them to phone 0300 126 7000.

Great to see how Schools are hearing about the work of Street Pastors across the nation.

We’ve had great fun today with the 6th formers at Hutton Grammar School. Sharing stories from the streets, finding out whats in the rucsac, and of course sharing our reasons for volunteering as Street Pastors!
