We wanted to share details of a wonderful event taking place at North Road Community Centre on Thursday 11th June, 11am–1pm.

Her Circle is a welcoming discussion space for women to come together and talk openly about a subject that affects every woman at some stage in her life, yet is often not spoken about enough – menopause.

Menopause is not something that should remain a taboo topic. It impacts women of every race, culture and background, whether personally or through the experiences of mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, friends and colleagues.

This session offers an opportunity to: ☕ Listen and learn in a safe, supportive environment
💬 Share experiences and ask questions without judgement
❤️ Better understand the physical, emotional and mental impact of menopause
🤝 Connect with other women and access practical support and advice.

Whether you are experiencing menopause yourself, supporting a loved one through it, or simply want to gain a better understanding, this promises to be an informative and valuable conversation.
There is absolutely no pressure to speak – come along, listen and participate at your own pace.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
We encourage anyone who may benefit from attending to book a place and help continue important conversations around women's health and wellbeing.

Date: Thursday 11th June 2026
Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm
Venue: North Road Community Centre, 230 Burnt Oak Broadway, HA8 0AP

Please see the attached poster for further details and booking information.
Thank you. 💜

It’s National Volunteer Week 💛

To every volunteer who has given their time, energy and kindness to Burnt Oak Community Food Bank, thank you.

Quite simply, we could not do what we do without you. Whether you’re packing crates, sorting donations, helping clients, setting up, clearing down, or quietly getting on with the countless jobs that keep everything running, your contribution makes a real difference.

We know you don’t do it for recognition. You do it because you care about people and want to help others. But please know that your efforts never go unnoticed. Every hour you give helps us support local individuals and families facing difficult times.

From all of us at Burnt Oak Community Food Bank, thank you for being the heart of what we do. 💛
