☕ Macmillan Coffee Morning at Riverview Lodge ☕

Today we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Riverview Lodge, and it was such a lovely morning with our residents, relatives and staff.

Our residents really enjoyed themselves, especially the chance to sit together, have a chat, enjoy some delicious treats and spend time with their families and friends. There was lots of laughter, plenty of smiles and a lovely atmosphere throughout the morning.

We always enjoy taking part in events like this because it gives us the opportunity to support such an important cause. Macmillan Cancer Support does so much to support individuals living with cancer and their families, so it was lovely to do our little bit while also creating a special morning for our residents.

A big thank you to all the family members who came along and supported us today. Having you there made the morning even more enjoyable for our residents.

And of course, a massive thank you to our staff. From getting everything ready, preparing the refreshments and treats, helping our residents, welcoming families and making sure everything ran smoothly, there was a lot happening behind the scenes!

It really was a great example of teamwork. When everyone plays their part and works together, we can create these lovely occasions for our residents and make days like today extra special.

A Special Thank You to Sky

A huge thank you to Sky for such a thoughtful and generous surprise for our residents at Riverview Lodge.

Today, we were delighted to welcome Rose from Sky, who came along to personally deliver a special card for every one of our residents. It was lovely to see the smiles and excitement as the cards were handed out, and our residents really appreciated the time and thought that had gone into each one.

Sky have also very kindly provided our residents with a one-year subscription to NOW TV, which is such a wonderful gift. Our residents were absolutely delighted and have already started enjoying some of their favourite films and programmes.

These thoughtful moments can make such a meaningful difference to our residents. Having the opportunity to enjoy more of the films and entertainment they love, while receiving a personal card, has brought a lot of happiness to our home.

A very special thank you to Rose for visiting us today and making the occasion so personal, and to everyone at Sky for their incredible generosity and kindness towards our residents.

Today at Riverview Lodge, we’re taking a moment to recognise and celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

At Riverview Lodge, we believe in celebrating the different cultures, faiths and traditions that are meaningful to our residents. It’s these moments of togetherness that help make life at Riverview Lodge so special.

Our residents enjoyed traditional music and treats as we marked this special occasion together.

To everyone celebrating Rosh Hashanah, we wish you a peaceful and joyful New Year filled with happiness, good health and sweet beginnings.
