Today marks 25 years since our inspiring Ambassador Paula Craig MBE was hit by a car and paralysed from the waist down. As a patient at the Spinal Injury Centre in Stanmore, she swam in the accessible pool at the Aspire Leisure Centre and when discharged, she lived in an Aspire accessible house as she couldn’t go back to her own home. Since then, she has raised £40,000 for Aspire to support others with Spinal Cord Injury by taking part in marathons and swimming both the Solent and the English Channel. Thank you Paula!

Paula says, “Wow, today marks 25 years today since my accident. A huge thank you to each and every one of you who have supported me along the way. I’ve had the most amazing opportunities and experiences and, whilst I wouldn’t have chosen my accident, I wouldn’t change a thing. Looking forward to many more adventures.”
