As our Summer Camps come to a close, we're filled with gratitude for the incredible kids and families who joined our HAF camps! We believe these unforgettable summer memories and lifelong friendships will forever be etched in their hearts.

🌟 Some of our students even created stunning bracelets to share with their new friends, proving that IDEA's summer camps are where creativity, confidence, and connections thrive!

💫 We can't wait to reunite with our students in September, as we launch new after-school clubs across primary schools in London, empowering them to shine even brighter! ✨

In the summer of 2023, IDEA Design Hub CIC organised a special event at Shepherd’s Bush Library titled “Building a Sustainable Future Library.” This initiative featured a workshop designed for children aged 5–12, alongside an engaging exhibition titled “Our Future Sustainable Library.”

The workshop aimed to inspire young minds to think creatively about sustainability and the future of their library. Through fun and interactive activities, such as upcycling materials to build a library bench, children explored concepts of environmental stewardship and resource efficiency.

🍦🍕 What would your perfect ice cream look like? And what about your dream slice of pizza?

We asked our students in Southwark to create their favourite ice cream cone or pizza slice, and they completely amazed us with their imagination!

From rainbow-coloured ice creams to cones covered entirely in sprinkles, and pizzas topped with the most creative ingredients you could imagine, every design was unique and full of personality.

At IDEA, we love encouraging children to think outside the box, because when creativity takes over, anything is possible! 🎨✨

In March 2024, Heather Stimpson (Academy of Architecture, Amsterdam University of the Arts) and IDEA Design Hub CIC collaborated with pupils at Old Oak Primary School in Hammersmith on a community participatory research project to capture children's voices and ideas as part of the HS2 redevelopment project.

By involving children in the design process, the project ensured that their perspectives, experiences, and aspirations helped inform the future of their local community.

🧽💛 Can you guess who this is?

Here's a clue... 👀
🟨 He's yellow.
🌊 He lives under the sea.
🍍 His home is a pineapple.
⭐ And he's everyone's favourite sponge...

It's SpongeBob SquarePants!

Some of our young creators were inspired to recreate SpongeBob's iconic pineapple house, and we think they did an amazing job! 🍍🎨✨

We love seeing children bring their favourite characters to life while using their imagination, creativity, and design skills. Who knows what they'll dream up next? 💙

✨ There's nothing quite like creativity to brighten your day.

🌈 Life is brighter with a little colour. Every splash of paint, every bold design, and every creative idea brings joy, confidence, and smiles. Sometimes, all it takes is a little colour to brighten someone's day. 🎨✨
