You could get £150 off your electricity bill this winter through the Warm Home Discount.
If you receive means‑tested benefits, make sure your name is on your electricity bill by 23 August so the discount is applied automatically.
This includes people on Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, Pension Credit, Income‑related ESA and other qualifying benefits. If you’ve recently moved or use a key/card prepayment meter, it’s worth checking your account details.
If you’re eligible for the £150 Warm Home Discount, it’s worth contacting your energy supplier
When you call, ask them to check:
Your full name is correctly listed as the bill payer (or joint bill payer if appropriate).
Your address is correct.
If you use a prepayment meter, that it is registered in your name.
Whether they expect you to receive the Warm Home Discount automatically, or whether you need to do anything further
If you’ve recently moved house, switched supplier, changed the name on the account, or think the bill may still be in someone else’s name, it’s especially important to call, as these are situations where people could miss out if the records aren’t correct by the deadline.
