Education should never depend on whether a child can afford a pen ✏️

Through the support of Good Gifts, 185 vulnerable children at Cyugaro Primary School in Rwanda received books and pens — helping them continue their education and reducing the risk of dropping out.

Teachers at the school explained that many children regularly arrive without basic learning materials, and schools are not always able to provide them. Without notebooks or pens, some students simply stop attending.

This Good Gift helps equip children with the essentials they need to learn, participate, and build a brighter future.

✨ Every child deserves the tools to dream, grow, and succeed.

A hive can do so much more than make honey 🐝

Jean Baptist Manirakiza, a genocide survivor in Rwanda, always dreamed of becoming a beekeeper. Starting with just a few hives, support from Good Gifts helped him expand his beekeeping business to 20 hives — transforming a lifelong passion into a sustainable livelihood.

Today, Jean can harvest up to 100kg of honey in a good season, allowing him to pay school fees, access healthcare, and support his family.

But the impact goes beyond one household. Beekeeping helps strengthen communities, support pollinators, protect biodiversity, and create long-term economic resilience.

✨ A hive is more than a gift — it’s opportunity, sustainability, and hope.

If you haven't heard of National Egg Month, we aren't surprised! But EGGS are powerful little treasure chests, so honouring the humble egg and all its egg-ceptional qualities is actually a great idea, especially when one of these Good Gifts can help you give the power of eggs directly to others.

🐔 5 chickens and a cockerel (£30)
Give a family the chance to produce eggs regularly — improving nutrition, creating income, and building a more secure future as flocks grow over time.

🥚 3 chickens for a war widow (£14)
A small gift with a big impact — providing eggs to eat and sell, helping rebuild independence and daily stability.

✨ Because something as simple as an egg can crack open opportunity.

Gardens grow more than just plants 🌱

This National Gardening Week, we’re celebrating the simple joy of getting curious outdoors — noticing new growth, reconnecting with nature, and finding peace in the process.

But for many people in the UK living with debilitating health conditions, gardening offers something even deeper: connection, confidence, and a sense of purpose.

Through horticultural therapy, people can learn new skills, spend time with others, and feel the pride of nurturing something from seed to bloom.

You can support this in two meaningful ways:

🌼 Supply Plants (£24)
Help fill these spaces with life — giving people the chance to grow, nurture, and see the results of their care.

🛠️ Supply Tools (£40)
Provide the essential equipment that makes it all possible — enabling hands-on participation and shared achievement.

✨ Because when people are given the chance to grow something, they grow too.

Malaria is preventable. And still, it kills. 🦟

On World Malaria Day, we’re reminded that despite huge progress, malaria still claims hundreds of thousands of lives each year — most of them young children in sub-Saharan Africa.

The tools to stop it exist. The urgency is real.

This Good Gift provides life-saving malaria treatment for 10 children — helping turn the tide against a disease we know how to fight.

✨ Because ending malaria isn’t impossible — it’s unfinished.

Stories shape how we see the world 🎭

On Shakespeare Day, theatres across the UK celebrate the power of storytelling — from Stratford-upon-Avon to school classrooms discovering his work for the first time.

But for many children, experiencing live performance isn’t just rare — it’s out of reach.

This Good Gift gives a child the chance to visit a theatre, opera, or concert — opening the door to imagination, creativity, and confidence. Seeing stories come alive on stage can spark a lifelong love of learning and self-expression.

✨ Because culture shouldn’t be a privilege — it should be a possibility for every child.
