We help children gain happiness, confidence and friendships that cut across different backgrounds and cultures. For over a decade, Solidarity Sports has harnessed the transformative power of play to nurture children recovering from severe trauma. We support children's healing through sports, healthy eating, arts, educational trips, mentorship programmes and holidays within the UK and abroad. The glue that binds our programmes together is a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and loving environment where happy memories can flourish.

NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL FUN DAY 🎭🎶

One of the exciting things our London group has been getting up to is spending time with the wonderful team at in the beautiful Kensington Gardens 🌳

With the Notting Hill Carnival coming up this weekend, the Royal Parks team organised an afternoon of carnival-themed games and activities for the community 💛

Activities included mask making, creating their own tambourines and shakers, dance parties and plenty of time to play and enjoy the gardens 🥁🎨💃🏽

We’re so grateful to the wonderful Royal Parks staff for giving our children another special London experience this summer!

Big shoutout to for bringing great energy, for the lovely storytelling, and for helping our children with mask making 💃🏽🫶🏽🎭

BILLY & FERGUS 🩵 Our dynamic duo!

Best friends and two of our standout volunteers this summer (and summers passed!). In fact, we had to be careful not to put them in the same bubble because it would simply be unfair on everyone else 😂

Billy and Fergus worked so hard throughout our Summer Project, joining us every single week and dedicating incredible positive energy to our children.

Billy became a key part of Orange Bubble, providing vital support through some of our most challenging moments and handling every situation with so much patience. It was a pleasure to see him rise to the occasion when given more responsibility. There was one moment last week when every single child wanted Billy to play with them at different corners of the playground! He became quite the celebrity for our little ones and it was beautiful to see 🧡

Fergus brought something completely different to Blue Bubble, getting everyone involved through competition and plenty of team spirit. His calm nature helped settle our children when they needed it. His energy brought out their enthusiasm and competitive side. When Blue Bubble children saw Fergus helping out a different group, they were quick to claim him back! 💙

They may be best friends, but Billy and Fergus each built their own relationships with our children and made a wonderful individual impact this summer 🥰

Thank you Billy & Fergus 🩵 We’ve been very lucky to have you both. And thank you for introducing us to these caring, compassionate gentlemen with the world at their feet 🫶🏽

🎪 Solidarity Sports joined the circus! 🤹🏼

We had two full days of circus skills with the brilliant Tiggy and Jacob from And Circus, and our children absolutely loved it!

Every single child got the chance to try something new, from unicycles and juggling to diabolos, tightrope walking and the giant ball 🎪

We first met Tiggy when we joined him for a one-off session during our half-term project. It was such a hit that we had to invite him back for Summer! He is fantastic with our children and has a real way of keeping everyone engaged, even our most active little ones 🥰

We really hope this is the start of a blossoming relationship with And Circus 🫂

Thank you Tiggy and Jacob for two amazing days and for making Summer even more magical for our children ✨ We can’t wait to see you again!

SPORTSWEAR FOR ALL! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A huge thank you to PropUp Project for providing donations of activewear and sportswear for all our children 🩵🩷

A special thank you to Emily, who used to work with us and was behind organising it all. It means so much that she continues to think of our children 🥰

Our relationship with PropUp goes back years. When they first started, we were one of the first organisations to benefit from their support! A huge thank you to Kate and the team for continuing to support us all these years later.

PropUp also regularly donates magazines to us, which our children love using during arts and crafts for cutouts, collages and lots more ✂️🎨

We’re so grateful for this longstanding relationship. Thank you PropUp! 🫶🏽🫂

“Last time I didn’t put my head under water. Today, the coach helped me dive into the pool!” 🥳🩵

We are so grateful to Nautilus Swimming for providing weekly swimming sessions for our children 🏊🏽🏊🏻‍♀️ these fantastic free sessions are delivered in the large pool Latymer Upper School which we are so lucky to access free of charge 🥰

At the start of every session, the coaches carefully divide our children into groups based on their swimming ability, making sure each child gets the right level of support 🫂

It has been amazing to watch how much they encourage our children, especially those who feel nervous around the water. They build our children’s confidence and celebrate every bit of progress🏅

Swimming is such an important life skill and exactly the kind of opportunity we want every one of our children to have. A huge thank you to Will, Hillary, Hakan, Gleb, Michalae, Gradimir, Milan, Massimo, Kyle, Francisco, and the whole Nautilus team for supporting our children throughout this summer ❤️

WATCH THIS SPACE…

One day, we hope to launch a project that supports every Solidarity Sports child to reach Level 6 in swimming, giving them the skills and confidence to feel safe in the water 🩵
