Our final day of half-term started with a major setback and a change of plans at the very last minute. For a moment, it looked like our trip might not happen at all.

Naturally, many of our children were disappointed. They had been looking forward to the day for weeks. But they adapted brilliantly, and threw themselves into a new adventure with positivity 🌞

Instead, we headed to Box Hill, where our children spent time exploring nature, playing games, and making memories together 🌿 very kind owner Troy allowed our coaches to be parked on his property which was a huge help!

We still hope to take our children on the original trip this summer, but for now we’re grateful that what could have been a difficult day became a special one instead 🩵

A special mention to our volunteers, who adapted to the change of plans at a moment’s notice and helped turn a potentially disappointing day into a memorable one 🫂

“My favourite part of the day was feeding the goats. Their tongue was tickling my hand!” 🐐

This week, all our groups enjoyed a trip to 🐑🐔🐇

It was a great chance for our children to try something new and spend time outdoors. We also headed to the playground next door where our children climbed, ran, played and burnt off even more energy together 🌞

Tomorrow will be our last day together this half-term. We are so excited, it will be a great adventure. Stay tuned 🥳

Today, our children spent the day and what a truly special experience it was 🩵

From exploring caves, meadows sweeping, and pond dipping to running freely through some of the most beautiful landscapes, it was a day full of adventure.

A huge thank you to Sir Stephen and our longstanding Ambassador Lady Angela for connecting us, organising this incredible day, and providing free access to such breathtaking surroundings. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity.

And a very special thank you to His Honour Judge Christopher for treating every child to an ice cream: a highlight of the day for many as you can imagine!🍦

We were so happy to have our wonderful ambassadors, Sue Lupton and Brian Jubb, for joining us and spending time with our children 🥰

It was the most glorious start to our May half-term project and a wonderful way to spend this beautiful day 🌞

We are so grateful to the wonderful team at Painshill Park Trust, including Hayley and Hannah, whose support helped make today so special for our children 🩵

“Being part of the mentoring programme has been deeply transformative for both my mentee and me. I am truly grateful to have gotten to know her and her family, and that I can be someone they rely on and trust.” 🩵

Helen has been mentoring L for 6 months. Together, they’ve shared many special moments, from ice skating adventures to celebrating birthdays side by side 🥰

Our mentoring programme enables children to receive 1:1 weekly sessions with one designated adult over a 6-month period. For many of the children we support, having a trusted, consistent adult in their life can make a world of difference.

We are so grateful to mentors like Helen who give their time, kindness, and care to help children feel valued and supported 🌟

Nail Club with and has been one of our favourite additions to our projects 💅🏽

Using kid-safe press on nails, children get to experiment with colours, designs and self-expression ✨

Zahra and Ayah are full of love and laughter, and they create a fantastic environment for the children to be around 😍

We hope to bring nail club back during our Summer Project where we will spend 5 weeks with our children doing things like sports, arts & crafts, swimming, and outdoor adventures 🌳⚽️🎭

🔔 2 WEEKS until our May Half-Term project 🌸

We are doing two trips outside of London this half-term and are so excited to share them with you 🥳 it’s going to be such a fun week for our children!

We’ll also be enjoying time together in some of our favourite locations in the city under the (hopefully!) lovely Spring sunshine 🌞 We’re counting down the days 🎉

As if our Paris trip couldn’t get any better, our wonderful friend and old colleague Lucas joined us for a day 🫶🏽

Although he moved to Paris a few years ago, has kept in touch with us. We have many fond memories with him, including Lunch Clubs 🫂 He’s now even a regular donor through our Memory Makers monthly giving programme 🥹

Lucas spent a whole day with our children at Disneyland Paris, and brought with him that infectious energy and bright smile we missed so much 🥰

He also brought many boxes of fresh strawberries from the local market for our children to enjoy 🍓

Thank you Lucas, and we can’t wait to see you again!

We have returned from our 9th trip to Paris with our children 🩵

The Hashim Family Legacy has so far led to 135 children experiencing this magical holiday to one of the most beautiful cities in the world 🌍🇫🇷

A huge thank you to some of our key donors: this trip would not have been possible without you! 💫

Shoutout to for looking after us throughout our whole stay. It was great to come home after lots of walking to our warm dinners and comfortable rooms 😍

Well done team for bringing together an amazing experience for our children 🥰 Gilles, Thomas, Zahra, Miriam, Jasmine, and Sean. A special mention to Lucas and Claire for taking time out of their weekends to come and spend time with us 🫶🏽

We will be sharing many more snippets from our wonderful holiday - stay tuned!

On our last day in Paris, we visited the Sacré-Cœur Basilica to remember Firdaws and her family 💚

Each of our children had some time to reflect, and light candles for the ones they love and miss.

It’s a beautiful tradition we hope to keep every time we visit Paris.

Firdaws, we had you in our minds every moment of our trip. We miss you so much.

Hashim Family Legacy 💚 Making children’s dreams come true

Our children climbed to the VERY top of today! 🤩

Day 4 in Paris has been absolutely stunning. We climbed the stairs up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower where we had a delicious lunch of fresh tuna, cheese and tomato baguettes 🥖😋

We then took the lift to the top of the Tower for the very first time, where got some of our children’s thoughts on the experience 💭

Afterwards, our adventure continued in , where our children explored world famous artwork and sculptures. More to come on this soon! 🖼️

For now, that’s a wrap on our last full day in Paris. Tomorrow, we will squeeze as much as we can out of day before heading back to London 🩵
