We are absolutely delighted to share that Walking For Jimmy 2026 has now raised an incredible £27,169.

To every person who walked, donated, volunteered, sponsored, shared a post, cheered from the sidelines or supported us in any way, thank you.

This year’s walk brought together more than 200 people across three start lines, all walking with a shared purpose. It was a day full of laughter, friendship, reflection and hope. From the first steps in Richmond to the final at Tower Bridge, the atmosphere was something truly special.

Most importantly, every pound raised will help us continue empowering young people to become champions of change in their communities.

Here are just a few of our favourite moments from a day we will never forget. 💛

A huge thank you to Paul and everyone at Jones Bros for donating all of the fruit for this year’s Walking For Jimmy. 🍎

From start to finish, the fruit stations kept our walkers fuelled, and Paul was with us for the whole day, giving out the fruit at every checkpoint. In the months leading up to the walk, he also supported the event in so many ways behind the scenes.

Your kindness, generosity and energy meant so much to us all.

Thank you for being part of Walking For Jimmy 2026. 💛

From our very first Walking For Jimmy back in 2013, Charlie has been there every step of the way. 💛

Over the years he has crossed an incredible 224 bridges and walked more than 250 miles across London, showing up each year with energy, commitment, and a huge heart for The Mizen Foundation.

The Barthrams have been huge supporters of us over the past 18 years, including Terry, who sadly died in 2018. Terry took part in every Walking For Jimmy right up until the year he died, and since then Charlie has continued to walk in memory of Jimmy, and also proudly in memory of his Dad, Terry.

We were also so pleased to have Carol, Nick and their close friends walking again this year as we marked our final walk before taking a break.

Families like the Barthrams are such a huge part of what Walking For Jimmy has become, and also at the beating heart of The Mizen Foundation. We’re incredibly grateful for all the love, friendship and support they have shown over the years, and continue to show. 💛

I remember this day 34 years ago as if it were yesterday, the day our darling Jimmy was born. From the moment he came into this world, he brought nothing but joy, not only to our family but to all his friends too.

He was filled with love, and everything he did, he did with that amazing smile.

Over the past few days, I’ve been watching old videos of Jimmy. I thought they would make me cry, but instead they mostly made me smile... although there were a little tear or two as well.

As much as I remember his birthday, I also vividly remember the day he died, and I cannot believe it has been 18 years tomorrow. Somehow, it feels like I have lost some of those years.

Barry and I are always so grateful for all the love and support we receive. It truly makes such a difference to us and our family.

We will always continue to spread Jimmy’s legacy of forgiveness, peace and hope, because every young person is precious, just like Jimmy was.

Much love,
Margaret x
