🌄 Discovery Explorer Scouts – Summer Camp 2025 🌄
Botany Bay, South Wales
What a week! Our Discovery Explorer Scouts have just returned from an action-packed summer camp based at the beautiful Botany Bay campsite in South Wales. With a mix of adrenaline, adventure, challenge and reflection, it was a week to remember.
Highlights included:
🧗♂️ High ropes at Zip World – testing limits and building trust
💦 Gorge walking and rock climbing at Dinas Rock – full-on adventure in stunning surroundings
🚵♀️ Mountain biking through the Forest of Dean
🚣 Kayaking and taking on the river
🥾 Two-day expeditions through the Brecon Beacons, including one team summiting Sugar Loaf Mountain
Every Explorer pushed themselves, supported each other, and learned something new – not just about the outdoors, but about who they are and the kind of impact they have on others.
💭 At the end of the week, we reflected on whether we’d left a green or red fingerprint on those around us – a powerful reminder that the mark we leave can build others up or tear them down.
