You do not require any specific experience or qualifications, to be accepted as a volunteer as full training and guidance will be provided. Eclipse operates throughout West Lothian, working with young people in a variety of settings to raise awareness of drug and alcohol use, sexual health and anti-social behaviour. Eclipse adopts a peer led approach. The project supports young volunteers (aged 16
to 21) to work with other young people on issues, which affect them. Eclipse operates in schools, youth clubs and other places where young people feel at ease discussing aspects of their lives. Eclipse encourages young people to look at their own attitude to drug and alcohol use, both legal and illegal. Eclipse gives young people the opportunity to voice their opinions about substances, sexual health and anti-social behaviour, by working with them on these issues, and addressing the risks associated with these topics.
