For many years, rats were a constant problem in our kitchen, causing damage and creating challenges for everyone. Two months ago, a cat named Ian found a home on our school premises and since then, things have changed remarkably. Not only has Ian helped keep the rats away, but he has also become a beloved companion to the children.

His presence is a wonderful reminder that sometimes the simplest solutions can make the biggest difference. The children love spending time with him, and he has brought joy, comfort and smiles to many young faces. Ian has become more than just a cat, he is a valued member of our school family.

Sometimes, help comes in the most unexpected forms, proving that every creature has a purpose and the ability to make a positive impact 🐱

A heartfelt thank you to Dean for the incredible work he continues to do whenever he visits Kenya. For the past 20 years, Dean has generously given his time, energy and skills to support the school and the charity, carry out school repairs and help wherever needed. During his latest visit, he has been busy repairing windows and undertaking essential maintenance work to improve the learning environment for the children.

Choosing to spend part of his holiday serving others is a remarkable example of generosity, compassion and selflessness. Dean’s commitment reminds us that creating positive change is often found in simple acts of kindness, showing up, lending a hand and caring enough to make a difference.

Festus, whom we have cared for since childhood in the school house and who is now at university, experienced a birthday surprise for the very first time.

As we watched his eyes fill with tears and his face light up with joy, we were reminded that the most precious gifts are not wrapped in paper, they are wrapped in love, kindness and the feeling of belonging.

From a young boy with dreams to a young man pursuing his future, it has been a privilege to be part of his journey. Seeing him moved by such a simple gesture touched every heart in the room.

Sometimes, a birthday cake, a song and a few caring people are enough to remind someone that they are valued, cherished and never alone.

Despite the heavy rain, this grandmother still came in search of a solar light. Thankfully, she did not leave empty-handed. Standing in the rain, wrapped in a simple plastic sheet for shelter, she patiently waited and was eventually able to receive a solar light. Her determination to come despite the difficult weather is a powerful reminder of how much access to light can mean to a family. Many people in the community continue to face daily challenges and moments like this inspire us to keep reaching out to those in need. Seeing the joy and hope that a simple solar light can bring makes every effort worthwhile. A solar light is more than just a lamp it provides safety, extends study time for children, reduces dependence on costly alternatives and brings comfort to homes after dark. We are grateful to everyone who supports this initiative and helps us make a difference 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Our pre-primary children came out from the pavilion for their P.E. session, full of energy, excitement and big smiles. Physical education is such an important part of their development, helping them build confidence, coordination, teamwork and healthy habits from an early age. It was wonderful to see them enjoying the fresh air, staying active and having fun together. Every activity is an opportunity for them to learn, grow and develop new skills while creating happy memories with their friends 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️⚽🌟📚

🌟 A Proud Moment for Our School Scouts! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our school Scouts who were invited to participate in the Mombasa County Scouts Inter-Patrol Competition. It was a highly successful event, and we are thrilled to celebrate their outstanding achievement of bringing home a trophy and securing qualification for the Regional Competition. Our girls performed exceptionally well, exceeding all expectations through their dedication, teamwork, discipline, and determination. Their hard work, commitment, and positive attitude truly paid off, and they represented our school with pride, confidence, and excellence throughout the competition. This marks the second trophy in our cabinet within just one month, a remarkable achievement that reflects the growing success of our Scouts programme and the dedication of our learners, teachers, and supporters.
