Jak's Journey has been continued by fulfilling Jak's wishes of Team Jak supporting children and young people with cancer and those bereaved from Jaks Den HQ, Aberdeen, pop ups and in hosptials and schools💙 Jak's Journey was set up by my beautiful son Jak Trueman in September 2014 after he awoke from a medically induced coma after taking very unwell

with what was diagnosed as Gama Delta T-Cell Lymphoma-a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Sadly after an amazing fight and show of strength courage and determination beyond his years and unending thought for others Jak lost his battle on 2nd February 2015. Jaks Journey page will continue keeping everyone up to date with all Jak's plans and how his family and friends and new Charity Trustees being set up are making Jak's wishes a reality. In the 3 weeks since he was given the terminal diagnosis Jak raised more than £57,000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and we will continue to support this Charity whilst realising Jak's wishes. To find out more about Jak's Den and how you can get involved please go to-
www.teamjak.org.uk and the Bank details to contribute to his dreams are above. I'd still have my boy over any of this in a whisper but there is a higher purpose in all of this to touch many lives in so many ways because of my boy and we will make sure many many other children teens and adults are helped because of Jak. Jak’s Den HQ in Livingston is a very special place where families come from all over Scotland to receive counselling, music therapy, emotional Bag of Worries and Bereavement support sessions aswell as pop ups sessions throughout Scotland, online and in hospital. Team Jak-

Last night I attended the Mid Calder Gala Jak Trueman Inter Schools Challenge Cup at “Jaks Park”💙⚽️💙

It was so lovely to see so many local primary schools involved and huge congratulations to every one of you, especially the winning team Parkhead Primary ⚽️🌟

What a privilege and honour to see my boy’s name on all the medals and trophy and tell the young people all about Jak and how he loved Gala Week.

Thankyou Mid Calder Gala for always remembering my boy- you don’t know how much it means and to Derek, Ross, Luke, Amy, Fiona and everyone else for making it happen ###

This time last week we were about to have our starters at our 11th Jaks Ball💙

This year our theme, as always chosen by Jaks awesome big sis Aimie, was Gatsby and oh my goodness what a theme it was!

So many people entered into the spirit of things and some of the outfits were simply stunning!

The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was so very kind💙

Such an honour to celebrate my boy and raise lots of money to support our inspirational young people with cancer and their families at the same time:)

We are just finalising our amount raised but let’s just say I am a very happy Mumma and TJ CE!

As part of my speech I explained that to run the whole of Team Jak from staff, buildings, outreach, resources, it works out at £250 per HOUR based on a 37.5 hour week!

It’s such a hard climate out there for everyone so we need your help more than ever.

Please consider donating or holding a fundraiser or even doing a challenge or the kiltwalk for us.

Also please share our Team Jak Foundation- Jak's Den posts and encourage folks to give.

If you have a business that might be interested in supporting we’d love to hear from you- let’s keep creating smiles and easing the journey for our inspirational young people with cancer and their families thanks to my beautiful boy 💙❤️

What an honour to read this today - 3 days short of Jaks 11 year angelversary!

Just after Jak died the fabulous pupils of West Calder High arranged a blood drive with SNBTS.

It was a huge success and I remember some of the pupils whom I’d taught in Primary being so very proud of themselves🤩

And so they should be-the same as our inspirational young people today should be proud of themselves!

We lost count of the number of blood transfusions Jak needed- but without them he would have died much sooner than he did!

Most young people diagnosed with cancer have to receive blood at some point- and to know we have so many young people selflessly thinking of others and giving blood is truly remarkable and hopefully many will now continue to give blood regularly ❤️

Well done and thankyou West Calder High School- and so lovely to see 2 of Jaks teachers Mr Mitchell and Mr Payne being involved also!

If you can give blood please do - as we never know when we might need some!

Thank you again for all your support ❤️🎗️
